The aim of this paper is to present the change of the competitive power of iron and steel industry. The importance of this study is that there is not any study which examines the competitive power of these industries in Turkey. The change of the iron and steel industry’s competitive power of Turkey was examined in regards of iron and steel product group which are in SITC classification. In this analysis, Revealed Comparative Advantage method was used to measure the competitive power for the period of 1989-2016. Two important results have been found from the analyses. First, Turkey’s iron and steel industry has comparative advantage for all years during the analysis period.
