Abstract

With today's globalization phenomenon, the technological changes that further protect the place on the agenda have made it possible for the developments in this area to take place. One of these developments is the increasing use of the internet. The internet, which is used in almost all organizations because of the advantages it provides, has many advantages and disadvantages as well. In particular, the internet access possibility offered at the work places can prepare the ground for neglecting the work by carrying out activities that are not related to the work during working hours of the employee. In the literature, a number of factors, called cyberloafing which affect the way employees orient themselves to such behaviors are emphasized. One of these factors is thought to be organizational commitment. In this study, which is aimed to examine the relation between virtual rescue behaviors and organizational commitment, it is seen that there is a significant relationship among organizational commitment subscales only between continuity subscale and cyberloafing behaviors. In this context, it is necessary for the organizations to develop and grow that the organizational commitment of their employees should be established in the real sense and the organizations which are aware of this should carry on works to provide this commitment.
