Abstract

The main aim of this study is to determine the views of the teacher candidates about the public employee’s selection exam. The model of the research is the descriptive research model. The study group consists of 302 teacher candidates that university students and graduates in Ankara and Çankırı. It has been used from accessible sampling method in the selection of study group. Data collection tool that consists of two parts was used in order to collect data of the research. The first part has 5 multiple choice questions about the private or official institutions in working condition, type of school where he was studying, receiving classroom training, the educational status and the gender of teacher candidates. The second part has 22-point scale for the opinion of teacher candidates about the public employee’s selection exam. The validity and reliability of the data collection tool was performed. It has emerged that the participation to positive views on the public employees selection exam of teacher candidates shows generally negative or undecided, the participation to negative views shows generally attended. The participation level to positive views on the public employee’s selection exam of teacher candidates are no meaningful differences in terms of their gender and education status. But the participation level to positive views on the public employee’s selection exam of teacher candidates are meaningful differences in terms of their private preparatory school, school and working status. The participation level to negative views on the public employee’s selection exam of teacher candidates are no meaningful differences in terms of their gender, education status, private preparatory school, school and working status.
