Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the Attitude to Non-Violence Scale (Craven, Seaton, & Yeung, 2015). Participants were 149 (Female: 86 Male: 63) secondary and high school students. The results of confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the 8 items loaded on two factors (cognitive and affective; x²= 45.32, sd= 17, RMSEA= .106, CFI= .96, IFI= .96, GFI= .93, SRMR= .039). The internal consistency reliability coefficients were .79 for cognitive subscale, .87 for affective subscale, and .90 for overall scale. Findings, demonstrated that this scale is a valid and reliable instrument.
