In this sense, vegetable weaves produced in traditional weaving can be regarded as production oriented activities arising from the needs of the community where the raw material is abundant locally. Mesh weaving is performed in the marsh areas where stagnant water resources are present depending on the intensive cultivation of plant raw materials. In this study, we will try to give information about the raw materials, technical, design and usage areas of the mesh fabrics produced in the town of Develi, Sindelhöyük, Kayseri province. Wire mesh weaving in the region is important because it relieves the labor force and provides a source of income. With the development of technology in recent years, business opportunities in different fields have removed the art of weaving from being a source of livelihood. The emergence of alternative products of woven weaving and marketing difficulties have been a factor in the disappearance of this handicraft. This work was carried out in order to indicate the importance of the disappearing matte weaving art, to determine the usage areas of the related raw materials and to contribute to the source of livelihood.},author={Zuhal TÜRKTAŞ-- Nihal DEMİRTAŞ},year={2017},journal={Kesit Akademi}}
