Thus questions like “Why emerged madhabs?”, “Do I have to admit to a madhab?”, “Why there are more than one different views on a special matter?”, “Why do scholars make different explanations on religious issues?” have been asked always. These questions are raised either by people who want to learn and live religion properly, or by malicious intentions of people who want to prevent others from learning religion properly and thus disincline them from religion. There are numerous studies in the history of Islamic thought that deal with the answers of these questions. In this paper I will focus on Ikhwan-ı Safa’s important views and thoughts on this subjects by emphasizing the philosophical/intellectual discrepancies and its reasons in answering these questions.},author={Hasan OCAK},year={2017},journal={Kesit Akademi}}
