Textile and clothing industry plays an important role in the economic development process because of employment, value-added and the share of export. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the foreign trade structure of the textile and clothing industry. 2000-2014 period was used in this study. Two methods were used in this study. Firstly, intra-industry trade structure of the textile and clothing industry was analyzed. Secondly, competitiveness of the textile and clothing industry was analyzed. As a result, it was found to be high intra industry trade Turkey’s textile industry. The level of intra industry trade is low in the clothing industry. It has seen a high level of intra industry trade of textile and clothing industry in the EU-15. In the competitive analysis, it was found to be high in Turkey's textile and clothing industry competitiveness.
