Abstract

Neo-liberal policies have been effective over the world since the 1980s. Neo-liberalism is essentially political-economic theory and it suggests he liberalization of individual entrepreneurship to achieve the highest level of prosperity, securing the property rights; implementation of free trade and not the state intervene in the markets. Serbest piyasa anlayışının çıktılarından ve gerekliliklerinden birisi de rekabet hukuku ve bu hukukun düzenleyicisi ve denetleyicisi olan rekabet otoriteleridir. One of the outputs and the requirements of free market approach is competition law and competition authorities who is the regulator and supervisory of the competition law. In this study, it is held in case of Turkish Competition Authority that the contribution of competition authorities to neo-liberal transformation in context of privatizations, agreements between undertakings, dominant position, exemption and negative clearance. The study was conducted in a discriptive way.
