SOSYAL BİLİMLERDE ÖRNEKLEME SORUNU: NİCEL VE NİTEL PARADİGMALARDAN ÖRNEKLEME KURAMINA BÜTÜNCÜL BİR BAKIŞ

Abstract
Sağlıklı bir bilimsel araştırma süreci yürütebilmenin en önemli adımlarından biri evren-örneklem aşamasıdır. Araştırmanın yürütüldüğü evrenin tamamına ulaşmak sınırlı zaman ve kıt kaynaklara sahip araştırmacılar için çoğu zaman zordur. Bu nedenle evreni en iyi temsil edebilecek özelliklere sahip örneklem grubunun seçilmesi gerekir. Örneklem kuramı ilgili evreni en iyi temsil edebilecek örneklemin belirlenmesinde yol göstericidir. Nicel ve nitel yöntemlerin ve dayandıkları paradigmaların farklılaşması bu yöntemlerde yürütülecek araştırmaların örneklem kuramlarını farklılaştırmaktadır. Karma yöntemle yürütülen araştırmalar ise nicel ve nitel yöntem örneklem kuramlarını bütünleştirmektedir. Örnekleme kuramına uygun olmayan araştırmaların bulguları ve sonuçları tartışmalara açık olacaktır. Ayrıca son dönemlerde özellikle nitel araştırmalara yönelik bilimsel araştırma kitaplarının artması ile nitel araştırmalar için örnekleme kuramına yönelik bir bilgi karmaşasının mevcut olduğu gözlenmektedir. Araştırmalar için bilimsel yöntemlere uygun belirlenmiş bir evren-örneklemin öneminin yanı sıra bu çalışma ile alanyazındaki bilgi karmaşasına karşın nicel ve nitel araştırmalar için örnekleme kuramına yönelik bütüncül bir bakış ortaya koymak amaçlanmaktadır.

Abstract
One of the most important steps in carrying out a healthy scientific research process is the universe-sampling phase. It is often difficult for researchers with limited time and scarce resources to reach the entire universe in which the research is conducted. For this reason, it is necessary to select the sample group with the characteristics that can best represent the universe. The theory of sampling is a guideline in determining the sample that best represents the relevant universe. The differentiation of the quantitative and qualitative methods and their paradigms differentiates the sample theories of the researches carried out in these methods. Researches conducted by the mixed method integrates quantitative and qualitative method sampling theories. The findings and results of research that are not appropriate to sampling theory will be open to debate. The recent increase in scientific research books, especially for qualitative research it is also observed that there is a complexity of information about sampling theory for qualitative researches. The aim of this study is to present a holistic view of sampling theory for quantitative and qualitative researches despite the complexity of information in the field, as well as the importance of a universe-sample determined for scientific studies.
