Abstract
Mezheplerin ortaya çıkış sebepleri, bir mezhebe mensup olma meselesi, fıkhi/itikadi/felsefi meselelerde mezheplerin ihtilaflı görüşlerinin sebepleri, içtihat, taklit ve benzeri konular eskiden olduğu gibi günümüzde de güncelliğini yitirmemekte; daima gündemde kalmaktadır. “Mezhepler neden ortaya çıktı?”, “bir mezhebe bağlanmak zorunda mıyım?”, “bir meselenin hükmü hakkında neden birden fazla farklı görüş vardır?”, “dini konularda alimler niçin birbirinden farklı açıklamalar yapabiliyorlar?” gibi sorular hep sorulmaktadır. Bu sorular ya sadece dinini sahih bir şekilde yaşamak isteyenlerin öğrenme merakından ya da dinin sahih bir şekilde anlaşılmasını engelleyerek insanları dinden soğutmak isteyenlerin art niyetinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu tür soruların cevabına yönelik pek çok çalışma İslam düşünce tarihinde bulunabilir. Biz ise bu makalemizde konuyla ilgili olarak önemli görüş ve düşüncelere sahip olduklarını düşündüğümüz İhvan-ı Safa’nın fikirleri ışığında söz konusu soruların cevaplanmasına yönelik olarak özellikle felsefi/fikri ayrılıklar ve bunların sebepleri üzerinde duracağız.

Abstract
The reasons why madhabs emerged; the issues to belong to a specific madhab; the reasons of controversial views in matters of fiqh/faith/philosophical issues; ijtihad, imitative and subjects the like still are actual today as yesterday and remain on the agenda. Thus questions like “Why emerged madhabs?”, “Do I have to admit to a madhab?”, “Why there are more than one different views on a special matter?”, “Why do scholars make different explanations on religious issues?” have been asked always. These questions are raised either by people who want to learn and live religion properly, or by malicious intentions of people who want to prevent others from learning religion properly and thus disincline them from religion. There are numerous studies in the history of Islamic thought that deal with the answers of these questions. In this paper I will focus on Ikhwan-ı Safa’s important views and thoughts on this subjects by emphasizing the philosophical/intellectual discrepancies and its reasons in answering these questions.
