Abstract
Son zamanlarda iyice çetrefilli, karmaşık hale gelmeye başlayan, gündelik yaşam içerisinde de her geçen gün daha fazla hissedilen çevre sorunlarının ve buna yönelik olarak gelişen çevre bilincinin artmasına paralel olarak güvenilir çevresel bilgilere olan ihtiyaç da giderek artmaktadır. Sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın ön koşullarından olan çevresel sürdürülebilirliğin gerçekleştirilebilmesi için bilgi birikimi şarttır. Buradaki eksikliklerin yarattığı sorunun çözülememesinin bedeli giderek artmaktadır. Hâlâ karar vericilerin ve kamuoyunun güncel çevresel durum hakkında yorum yapabilmesi için gereken çevresel veri tam olarak bulunmamaktadır Çevresel politikaların geliştirilmesi kapsamında, karar vericiler herhangi bir eyleme ilişkin riskleri yönetirken ve politikaların maliyetlerini ölçerken bilgiye ihtiyaç duymaktadırlar. Çevresel göstergeler setleri genel olarak bu ihtiyacı karşılamak için hazırlanmaktadırlar. Bu çalışmada; ülkemiz için önerilecek gösterge setleri ve değerlendirmeleri ile, politika sağlayıcılar ve karar vericiler için çevre koruma faaliyetlerine uzun vade de katkı sağlayacak, bilgiye dayalı yaklaşımlar ortaya konulacaktır.

Abstract
There is a growing need for reliable environmental information in parallel with the increasingly complicated and complicated environment problems that have been felt more and more in everyday life, and the growing environmental awareness for this. Knowledge is essential for achieving environmental sustainability from the preconditions of sustainable development. The cost of not being able to solve the problem created by these deficiencies is increasing. Environmental data is still lacking to enable decision-makers and the public to comment on the current environmental situation. As part of the development of environmental policies, decision makers need information while managing the risks associated with any action and measuring the costs of policies. The sets of environmental indicators are generally prepared to meet this need. In this study; With the set of indicators and assessments to be proposed for our country, it is expected that environmental protection activities for policy makers and decision-information-based approaches will be put forward.
