Abstract

The narrator and their point of view, which are among the main issues of narrative forms, have great importance in affecting fiction. Therefore, evaluating the narrator’s point of view in the deep analysis of a literary work proves to be effective. The thought and emotions of children is among the best ways of presenting reality and criticizing the social corruption in literary works. The difference between the languages the child and the adult use and perceive presents double layers in narration. The fact that the writer and the reader are adults indicates a distance between narrator and narration. In the present study, we are going to analyze some short stories of Hüseyin Su, who is accepted among “Yeni Gelenekçiler” in the history of Turkish Short Stories, in terms of child narrator and their point of view, the distance between narrator and narration, double layers in narration, criticism towards values and reality beyond cultural and social biases.
