EVALUATION OF THE OBJECTIVES AND CONTENT OF MUHAMMAD’S LIFE CURRICULUM DEPENDING ON THE DOMAIN EXPERTS’ VIEWS

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the domain experts’ views on the objectives and content of the curriculum which is about Muhammad’s Life lesson that takes place in the new education system. 60 domain experts, who work in the Faculty of Theology of Ataturk University, Ankara University, Marmara University and Istanbul University, took part in the study. In the study a questionnaire that was developed by the researcher and a questionnaire form in which several variants took part were used as data collection tools in order to determine domain experts’ participation levels to the general objectives, educational attainments and content of the Muhammad’s Life curriculum. In the statistical analysis of the datum gathered in the study the program called SPSS 20.0 for Windows was used. Within the context of the study, problems and sub-problems, objectives, significance and the research subject were tried to be introduced within the frame of a conceptual infrastructure. The Muhammad’s Life curriculum, the principles selected as baselines in the application of this curriculum, the general and particular objectives of the curriculum and the content of this lesson are introduced. Information about the model followed in the research, population-sample and data collection tools, application and about the processes of data analysis were given. The findings obtained from the research data were explained and commented. In consequence of the study, the results obtained from the research, suggestions and proposals that were brought forward were given place.
