Abstract

Each individual owns social, emotional, mental and physical differences. These interrelated features bring along different academic achievements, individual interest and talents. Individuals who are talented and eager to improve in the field of special talent or art; such as painting, theatre or music, sustain their progress by means of private or official initiatives. Although it is quite rare, individuals who have much upper limits than others in terms of achievement and talent, are possible to be encountered in these fields. This study explains progressively the diagnosis process of a student whose gifts have been identified by the music teacher. By means of sharing experiences and including these suggested explanations in literature as a sample diagnosis process; it is aimed to provide information for teachers and school administrators who may be assigned in such diagnosis commissions, and shed light upon other diagnosis processes, when necessary.
