Abstract

The Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted at the United Nations General Assembly in November 1989. Every individual of society has social rights. One of the most important of these rights is patient rights. As patient rights, respecting human beings, getting optimal health care services, informing, getting approval in medical procedures, respecting private life and privacy and ensuring the continuity of care. In our country, we passed the patient rights with a regulation published in 1998. The main objective of patient rights is to provide medical, physical and spiritual support to the patient and to obtain socially stronger individuals. In this study, it was aimed to determine the patient and child's knowledge level of the close relatives of hospitalized children. Cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted between Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Health Services Vocational School students and March-April 2018. Questionnaires were used in the research to determine the level of patients and children's rights. participants were interviewed face to face for 5-10 minutes. Surveys to be used to determine the level of patient and child rights of the patient companions were filled in for 5-10 minutes, face to face with the attendants in the hospital.
