Abstract

Memoir; it is an autobiographical type such as daily, letter, travel writing. In Turkish literature, it is widely believed that the type of memoir is not sufficiently developed. Male authors are more active than women writers. Among the reasons for writing the memoir, there are many reasons to confession, to self-expression from teach future generations. The memoir is a kind of suspicion about its credibility. Many examples show that memories are often written in difficult times. Ipek Ongun also shares her memoirs in the book Anlat Anneanne. Ongun writes in the literature of the memoir when male writers effective, with a woman's perspective and sensibility. As a representative of the young adult literature, she teaches life to young people. In this context, she underlines the importance of contemporary education. Ongun connects this type of writing to seeing his memory as a friend. The memoir is a suspicious genre. Although, it is not easy to question the credibility of Ongun's memoirs because of Ongun's book is dominated by the language and style of an elegant and affectionate grandmother. Anlat Anneanne can be read as the lucky life of a self-actualized individual.
