Abstract

It is the correct and proper pronunciation that provides effective use of language in communication. Full expression of an emotion and thought takes place by using the correct use of the words and the proper use of prosodic features. In this research, firstly the complexity of the terms in the literature is discussed and then the common terms were tried to be reached. As a result of the literature review, it was found out that the terms of the stop and liasion were related to the duration of the sound and the stress and the pronunciation to the intensity of the sound; It is concluded that the main term expressed in different terms such as intonation and melody is melody. Secondly, three different approaches which are taken as basis in the education of prosody are introduced. Finally, 24 activities that are functional, practical and easy to apply for intermediate and advanced levels were introduced to be used in the education of prosody.
