Abstract

In order to understand the legal structure of the Ottoman Empire, the sources that need to be examined are among the records of the Sharî'a court . The ledger, in which all the events and the case records that have been submitted to the Sharî'a court have been kept, are called the books.       A brief evaluation was made on Ottoman law. The main elements of the Ottoman State's legal structure were mentioned and evaluations were made about the legal system of the Ottoman State.
