THE DISCUSSIONS HELD IN TURKISH GRAND ASSEMBLY ON 1939 ERZINCAN EARTHQUAKE

Abstract
An earthquake happened on 27th December, 1939 in Erzincan and it affected the whole region including all east and mid- Anatolia. The earthquake created a wide reflection both in Turkey and in the world. Afterwards, many aids started to the region from Turkey and abroad. Many scientific studies were carried out on the earhquake by historians, geologists, architects, psychologists and other disipline members. In this article, the discussions made in Turkish Grand Assembly were gathered by using the Assembly newspaper and tried to make contribution to the literature.
