Abstract
Resim sanatında ışık ve gölgenin ön plana çıktığı Barok döneminde, 17. yüzyılda Caravaggio ile İtalya’da başlamıştır. Barok dönemi ressamları, konuyu daha etkin bir anlatım biçimi meydana getirmek içi ışık ve gölge oyununa başvurdukları görülmektedir. Ressamlar bu dönemde çoğunlukla ışık-gölgeden faydalanarak renk tonlarından zıtlıklar oluşturarak, diyagonal pozda yatırılan figürlerden, dökümlü elbise kıvrımlarından oluşan dinamizm, kompozisyonda meydana gelen hareket etkileri ön plana çıkartmışlardır. Barok resim sanatı üslubu, Rönesans ve Maniyerizm döneminde tasvir edilen resimlerden farklı olarak, çizginin yerini ışık-gölge uygulamasıyla, eriyen ışıkla birlikte renk tonları girişkenliğiyle hacim oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmanın amacı ressamların yaşadığı dönemin kompozisyon ve ışık-gölge anlayışlarını ele almaktır. Klasik dönem ressamların meydana getirdiği statik ve simetrik kompozisyonlar yerine, Barok’lu ressamlar diyagonal ve hareketli kompozisyonlar betimlemişler. Barok döneminde tasvir edilen açık kompozisyonlar sahnenin sınırları dışına taşmış sonsuzluğa doğru akıp giden doğal gerçekliğin bir parçası olduğu hissini uyandıracak şekilde tasarlanmıştır. Abstract
It started in Italy with Caravaggio in the 17th century, during the Baroque period, when light and shadow came to the fore in painting. It is seen that the painters of the Baroque period resorted to the play of light and shadow in order to create a more effective way of expressing the subject. In this period, painters mostly made use of light and shadow, creating contrasts from color tones, dynamism consisting of figures laid in diagonal pose, flowing dress folds, and the effects of movement in the composition. Unlike the paintings depicted in the Baroque painting style, Renaissance and Mannerism periods, a volume was created with the use of light and shadow instead of the line, and the assertiveness of color tones with the melting light. The aim of the research is to deal with the composition and light-shadow understanding of the period in which the painters lived. Instead of the static and symmetrical compositions created by the classical period painters, Baroque painters depicted diagonal and moving compositions. The open compositions depicted in the Baroque period are designed to create the feeling of being a part of the natural reality flowing beyond the boundaries of the stage into infinity. Qualitative research method was used in the article.
