Abstract
Eski Mısır kültürü, mitleri, sembolleri, bilim ve sanata olan özgün katkıları ile dünya kültürleri üzerinde yüzyıllar boyunca süren bir etkiye ve halen gizemini yitirmemiş bir büyüye sahiptir. Keskin bir doğa gözlemini birbiriyle bağlantılı semboller ve geometrik düzendeki biçimsel disiplin ile ortaya koyan Mısır sanatı, ölüm ve yeniden doğuş döngüsünün efsanevi anlatımlarına sahip yaratılış mitleriyle de ruhsal aydınlanmayı amaçlayan, maneviyatı güçlü bir dünyanın ifadesidir. Eski Mısır sanatının batı sanatı üzerindeki etkileri, XIX. yüzyıl sonlarında başlayan Egiptomani rüzgarıyla hızlanmış ve XX. yüzyıl sonrasında modern sanatçılar için mitik ve estetik bağlamlarda zengin bir alan oluşturmuştur. Bu metinde sanatlarında Eski Mısır sanatının biçimsel üsluplarından etkilerle kendi form arayışlarına zenginlik katan Rodin, Giacometti, Klee gibi modern sanatçıların yapıtları yanı sıra postmodern dönemde Mısır kültürünün düşünce yapısına ve imgelerine bugünün dünyasını ifade etmek için görkemli bir kaynak olarak yaklaşan Beuys, Barnett Newman, Bill Viola, Matthew Barney gibi farklı sanatsal disiplinlerde üreten çağdaş sanatçıların yapıtları da incelenmiştir.

Abstract
Ancient Egyptian culture, with its myths, symbols, and unique contributions to science and art, has had a centuries-long influence on world cultures and still has an undisguised magic. Egyptian art, which reveals a careful observation of nature with interconnected symbols and formal discipline in geometric order, is the expression of a strong spiritual world, aiming at spiritual enlightenment with creation myths with mythical expressions of the cycle of death and rebirth.The effects of ancient Egyptian art on western art, accelerated with the Egiptomania wind that started at the end of the XIX. century and created a rich field for modern artists in the mythic and aesthetic contexts after the XX. century. In this text, besides the works of modern artists such as Rodin, Giacometti, Klee, who enriched their research of form with the influences of the formal styles of Ancient Egyptian art, the works of contemporary artists in different artistic disciplines such as Beuys, Barnett Newman, Bill Viola and Matthew Barney, who, in the postmodern period approached the thoughts and images of Egyptian culture as a magnificent source to express today's world, were also examined.
