Samsun province is one of the most paddy growing fields in Turkey. Production is concentrated in Yeşilırmak and Kızılırmak deltas known as Çarşamba and Bafra plains in Samsun. Samsun are third and fourth respectively in terms of rice factory and the count of employees in Turkey. In this study, the geographical conditions of paddy production in Samsun, rice factories that use paddy as raw material; establishment and development processes, employment situations, potentials, problems and solutions are discussed within the framework of industrial geography principles. In addition, the relations between the rice factories and raw material supply across the Samsun scale, the marketing conditions of the were emphasized, and what else should be done with purpose increase the benefit to the economy of the province and the country by creating more added value has been examined. In the research, industrial establishments were determined that operate in the production of rice in Samsun province. Face-to-face survey and interviews were conducted with them.
