Abstract

It is seen that graphic design, which reached a new visual understanding with the effect of revolutionary movements such as Cubism, Futurism, Dada, Surrealism, which emerged at the end of the 19th century, turned into moving designs, especially with the initiatives of Expressionist, Dadaist and Surrealist artists. It is observed that animated graphic design, which gives its first examples with information and promotional articles in 19th century cinema, has become a part of the language of expression with experimental cinema studies. As the technical possibilities increase, it is seen that motion graphic design has taken its place among the indispensable elements of cinema and then television. While the developments in computer technology leave the traditional methods in motion graphic design to the software in the digital environment, the designs physically created by the graphic artists are started to be replaced by the productions whose boundaries are determined by the imagination but whose material is from an unlimited virtual world. In this study, in which technical changes occurring during the production phase as well as the usage areas of motion graphic design developed with the experimental cinema, developed with cinema generics, strengthened with television and increasing with digitalization today, the revolutionary acceleration of motion graphic designs formed with digitization (digitization) will be emphasized.
