Abstract
Bu araştırmada, KPSS sürecinin Sakarya Üniversitesi öğrencilerinin meslek derslerine etkisi, sınava hazırlanan öğrencilerin sayısı/oranı, hazırlandıkları yerler, sınav için ayırdıkları zaman ve bütçe, meslek dersleri algı, tutum ve değerleri, öğretim türü, fakülte/yüksekokul, sınıf, cinsiyet, ekonomik statüsü gibi çeşitli bağımsız değişkenlerle ilişkisi incelenmiştir.
Çalışmamızın temel amacı; KPSS-Sakarya Üniversitesi öğrencileri ilişkilerinde ortaya çıkan sorunları, boyutlarını ve kaynaklarını tespit etmek, delile dayalı uygulanabilir çözüm önerileri geliştirmektir. Bu bağlamda ‘dershaneleşen üniversite’ ve ‘KPSS’leşen dersler’ kavramlarını geliştirip KPSS sürecinin öğrencilerin meslek derslerine etkisini tespit ederek soruna dikkatleri çekmeyi, ilgili çevrelerde farkındalık oluşturmayı hedefledik.
Araştırma temelde survey olmakla birlikte, ilk etapta alan araştırması yönteminden de yararlanılarak mevcut durum keşfedilmiş, anket formu hazırlanmış ve verilerin betimleyici istatistiksel analizleri yapılarak değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler istatistiksel olarak irdelenmiştir. Örneklem %99 güven düzeyi ve %2.75 kabul edilebilir hata payı esas alınarak 2126 öğrenci küme örnekleme tekniği ile oluşturulmuştur.
Araştırma KPSS sürecinin Üniversite’nin/üniversitelerin asli kuruluş amaçlarını yerine getirmelerinde engel teşkil ettiği; meslek derslerini önemli ölçüde KPSS hazırlık derslerine dönüştürdüğü = KPSS’leştirdiği, ancak dershanelere giden öğrenci sayısının az olması sebebiyle, Üniversite’yi dershaneleştirdiğini söylemek için henüz vaktin erken olduğunu ortaya koymuştur.KPSS sınav sistemi tüm gruplar için meslek dersleri bilgi ve becerisini de kapsayacak şekilde yeniden düzenlenmeli, meslek dersleri değer sistemi ve öz saygınlığı yükseltilmelidir.

Abstract
In this study, it is investigated the effect of the Public Personnel Selection Exam (PPSE) process on the professional courses of Sakarya University students and described the number/ratio of students preparing for the exam, the places of their preparation, time and budget allocated for it, students’ perceptions, attitudes and values for the professional courses, and its relation with various independent variables such as type of education, faculty/higher school, class, sex, and economic status.
The main purpose of the study is to determine the problems emerging in PPSE process-Sakarya University students relations. In this context, we produced the concepts ‘cram schoolization of the universities’ and ‘transformation of the courses into PPSE’ and thus we sought to investigate the effect of PPSE process on the students’ professional courses, and to call attentions to the problem and to create awareness on this regard.
The study is basically a survey, but at the same time we used field research method, and tried to discover the existing situation and prepared a questionnaire, and the relations between the variables were statistically investigated by making descriptive analysis of data. A sample of 2126 students was chosen through cluster sampling technique at a confidence level of 99% and %2.75 tolerance.
The study put forth that PPSE process creates obstacles for the establishment mission of the university/ies, and that it transformed the professional courses to a great extend into PPSE preparation courses, but because the number of the students attending to cram schools is few yet, it is too early to suggest that the Sakarya University has gotten cram school to a great extend. Depending on the results of the study, we suggest that PPSE must be reorganized as to encompass all groups’ knowledge and skills of professional courses, and the self-respect and cultural value system of professional courses must promote.
