Abstract
Türkiye’de derneklerle ilgili faaliyetler son dönemlerde öne çıkmaya başlamıştır. Dernekler üyelerinin sosyal ve ekonomik ihtiyaçlarıyla ilgili yardımlarda bulunmanın yanında kültürel çalışmalarıyla da dikkati çekmektedir. Dünyada özellikle küreselleşmenin kültür üzerindeki olumsuz etkileri milletleri kültürel koruma konusunda çalışma yapmaya itmiştir. Son yıllarda dernekler de kültürün korunmasıyla ilgili önemli işlevler üstlenmeye başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada Samsun şehir merkezine göç eden Kavaklıların üye olduğu altmış derneğin birleşmesiyle oluşan Kavak Dernekler Federasyonu (KADEF) ele alınmıştır. KADEF’in Kavak kültürünün korunmasına yaptığı katkı tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmamızda kültürel korumayla ilgili derinlemesine inceleme yapmak üzere nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman inceleme, gözlem ve mülakat yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntemler çalışma verilerinin analizinde birlikte kullanılmış ve bu sayede verilerin güvenirliğinin artması amaçlanmıştır.

Abstract
The activities regarding the country associations started to outshine in recent times. The associations catch the eye by providing aids and supports in terms of the social and the economic needs of their members, as well as their cultural activities. Specifically the negative effects of globalization on the culture pushed the nations to run activities regarding the cultural protection. In the recent years, country associations started to assume important responsibilities regarding the protection of the culture. In this paper we handled the Federation of Kavak Country Associations (KADEF) which is made up of sixty associations, in which Kavak countrymen who migrated to Samsun city center are the members. We tried to detect the contribution of KADEF to the protection of Kavak country culture. We used document examination, observation and investigation among the quantitative research methods, in order to resume a deeper examination about the cultural protection. These methods were used together within the analysis of the study data, and thus we aimed an increase in the reliability of the data.
