This study investigates the reinterpretation of Ottoman miniature art through digital technologies, focusing on its integration within historical visual production methodologies. The primary objective of this study is to produce a promotional film that visualizes the transformation of Istanbul through the animation of Istanbul-themed miniatures dating from the 16th to the 18th centuries. A secondary objective involves the reconstruction of historical events and architectural structures absent from Ottoman miniatures through the application of artificial intelligence, generating visuals that adhere to the stylistic conventions of period-specific nakkaş (miniaturists). The research explores the stylistic characteristics of Ottoman miniature art across different periods, the role of digitization in cultural heritage preservation, methodologies for AI-assisted artistic production, and digital animation techniques. Furthermore, employing Baudrillard’s simulation theory as a theoretical framework, this study examines the implications of digitalization, particularly in relation to the ethical concerns surrounding the reproduction of historical imagery. The relationship between the traditional structure of miniature art and the possibilities of digital art is analyzed, along with an explanation of how historical scenes are animated using animation techniques. This study adopts qualitative research methodologies, utilizing iconographic and stylistic analysis to examine the selected miniatures. Archival research and literature review methods are employed to explore the aesthetic and technical aspects of Ottoman miniature art, while AI-based production processes are tested through experimental applications. The historical accuracy and aesthetic consistency of images produced via the Stable Diffusion model have been refined through manual interventions. Although AI-assisted visual production presents a novel dimension in art historical research, the implementation of animation techniques enhances the accessibility of cultural heritage for broader audiences. However, ensuring historical accuracy necessitates rigorous artistic and academic evaluation of AI-generated visuals. This study, therefore, provides a significant example of how digital technologies can contribute to both the preservation of cultural heritage and the expansion of artistic production.

This study aims to examine the contemporary issues faced by the Turkish minority in Bulgaria. Issues such as language, education, cultural rights, political representation, economic status, and discrimination create significant challenges in the societal and individual lives of the Turkish minority. The inadequate implementation of the right to education in the native language, problems such as insufficient Turkish textbooks and a shortage of Turkish language teachers, pose serious obstacles in the field of education. Regarding cultural rights, the lack of sufficient state support for Turkish cultural associations and institutions, along with restrictions on their activities, complicates the preservation of cultural identity. In terms of political representation, the limited influence of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) party increases the desire of the Turkish minority for greater representation in decision-making processes. Economic disparities manifest in regions with limited job opportunities, high unemployment rates, and economic hardships. Additionally, Turks face discrimination based on their ethnic identity, leading to challenges in social cohesion and coexistence. The resolution of these issues requires the Bulgarian government to develop more inclusive and equitable policies and to adopt approaches that protect minority rights. The primary objective of this article is to comprehensively analyze the current problems faced by the Turkish minority in Bulgaria. By focusing on these issues, the study aims to highlight the points that the Bulgarian government and the international community need to consider.

Stockholm syndrome is a theoretical phenomenon that seeks to elucidate why kidnapped individuals occasionally form a psychological attachment to their kidnappers. The concept of Stockholm syndrome has evolved beyond its original confines, which pertained solely to the affection exhibited by abductees towards their abductors. Today, this term encompasses a broader spectrum, referring to any amicable relationship or feelings of fondness that a victim—whether a hostage, attack survivor, sexual assault prey, prisoner, or robbery casualty—may develop towards their aggressors. In his novel Lessons, Ian McEwan presents a literary illustration of Stockholm syndrome. Miriam Cornell, a piano instructor, confines her young pupil, Roland Baines, within her residence and engages in sexual activities with him daily. Roland forms a bond with her and maintains this situation with her until advanced age, choosing not to inform the authorities despite the grave adverse repercussions of her actions. The research delineates this syndrome, elucidates its historical context, underlying causes, and repercussions, and analyzes Roland’s case in Ian McEwan’s Lessons.

Constructivist approach principles hold a significant place in the curricula of education faculties today. However, the extent to which pre-service primary school teachers understand these principles in subject-specific education courses and how they utilize them in activity design has yet to be examined. This study aims to reveal the changes in pre-service primary school teachers' knowledge of developing activities aligned with student-centered approaches and to explore their explanations regarding the stages of activity development (before, during, and after) through their perspectives after experiencing activities designed within the framework of the Theory of Didactical Situations (TDS). The study employed a qualitative research design, specifically a case study. The participants were 56 pre-service primary school teachers enrolled at a state university in the Eastern Anatolia Region during the 2019-2020 academic year. Data were collected using the Constructivist Environments Knowledge Form developed by the researchers. This form was administered before and after the training based on TDS to determine changes in the pre-service teachers' levels of knowledge regarding student-centered environments. The data were analyzed using content analysis. The findings indicate that before the training based on TDS, pre-service primary school teachers had limited theoretical knowledge about student-centered learning environments and struggled to translate this knowledge into explanations related to the stages of activity development. Following the training, however, it was observed that the pre-service teachers' knowledge of student-centered environments increased, and they could reflect this knowledge to some extent in their explanations regarding the stages of activity development. Nonetheless, an essential finding of the study is that knowing about student-centered environments does not necessarily mean that pre-service teachers can effectively apply this knowledge across all stages of activity development. In this context, it is suggested that pre-service teachers be provided with more opportunities to experience student-centered environments within the scope of subject-specific education. They should engage in hands-on practices to internalize these environments effectively.

Media entities and journalists have autonomously crafted ethical standards, sidestepping the necessity for legal oversight and have implemented various mechanisms to ensure adherence to these standards. Media self-regulation encompasses these editorial principles and frameworks, including press councils, ombudsmen, and reader representation, all aimed at upholding these standards. All self-regulation efforts in our press history, from the Society of Ottoman Press to the establishment of the Press Council, follow a course parallel to political changes and upheavals. Firstly, the Turkish press is a political design product that started with state support, unlike the European press, which emerged as a result of societal dynamics. Therefore, the relationship of the press with the government directly affects the organization and self-regulation processes. This study employs semi-structured interviews, a qualitative research method, to delve into the systemic issues surrounding media self-regulation in Turkey. In the research, face-to-face interviews were held with Sibel Güneş, Faruk Bildirici, Belma Akçura and Celal Toprak, who have previously served and continue to work in journalism professional organizations and media self-regulation structures in Turkey, selected through purposeful sampling. During the interviews, participants were engaged with open-ended questions designed to unveil the challenges surrounding media self-regulation in Turkey. The results from the study indicate that media self-regulatory frameworks and professional organizations, including the press council, journalists' association, and ombudsman/reader representation, struggle to fulfill their self-regulatory mandates effectively.

Economically, the price of goods and services is not fixed in general, but is determined depending on the supply-demand relationship and is exceptionally subject to restrictions by the public authority. Especially in times of state of emergency, natural disasters, regional wars, mass migration and economic crises, unexpected price increases, in other words, exorbitant prices are encountered. Since the 2000s, especially agricultural food product prices in the world have been fluctuating outside of normal market conditions and generally show an upward trend. Recently, the general price increase due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine war, the earthquake covering 11 provinces in Turkey and the partial economic crisis has been on the agenda in the agricultural sector as in other sectors, and this negative situation has been publicised as ‘exorbitant price’ increase. Unlike other sectors, the fact that the said exorbitant price increase is directly related to the daily needs of the public for agricultural products and the right of access to healthy food has made it obligatory to implement legal regulations and administrative sanctions to prevent exorbitant price increases. The aim of this study is to examine the legal legislation on price gouging in Turkey, to evaluate the practices, to investigate the problems related to price gouging in agricultural products and to propose solutions. In the first part of the study, a conceptual analysis of the subject has been made, and in this context; the concepts of stockpiling and unfair competition related to exorbitant price have been emphasised. In the second part of the study, legal regulations and administrative sanction practices regarding exorbitant prices in the Turkish legal system are analysed. In the third part of the study, the structural causes of exorbitant price increases in the agricultural sector, the general situation in the world and in Turkey are summarised, and the effectiveness of the changes made in the Turkish legal system in combating exorbitant prices in the agricultural sector is analysed.

Not being open to critical thinking, devaluing individual differences and alternative interpretations, excessive attachment to an idea and not hesitating to use violence for this cause if necessary are among the main characteristics of a fanatic. In this sense, fanaticism is an attitude that has sharp and clear lines and is based on marginalization. On the other hand, a person who believes in democracy is open to different possibilities and critical thinking, has the ability to understand and discuss with the other and does not think of using violence in doing so. Naturally, fanatical attitudes threaten the democratic environment and therefore it is important to understand what causes fanaticism and what can be done about it. This study aims to discuss the phenomenon of fanaticism and fanatic mentality in the context of the relevant literature and to discuss what the possible causes of fanaticism are and how it can threaten democratic life. At the end of the study, it is seen that social fractures, the desire to escape from uncertainty, feeling safe, problems related to social and individual identity, fundamental problems related to the education system, lack of love and disapproval by society are possible causes. Although fanaticism has taken different forms in the historical process, it has a universal aspect related to human nature. For this reason, it has been evaluated that fanatical attitudes and forms of action can pose a significant threat to the democratic environment if they are not adequately combated.

Turkish people have also been affected by these epidemics and have tried to take measures both for medical purposes and in an effort to create social awareness. In the creation of social awareness, it is undoubtedly an important achievement that the sermons, which are read once a week in mosques in almost every corner of our country, are carried out as a widespread religious education activity for the Islamic society, even if they do not include a wide time and content. Considering the wide audience reached through mosques, sermons are one of the important elements of mosque-centred religious education. Sermons, which are an important part of the weekly Friday worship, serve as an important education and training tool with their messages that develop attitudes and behaviours in individuals. In this study, when the sermons published by the Presidency of Religious Affairs in 2020 were examined, it was seen that they covered topics such as current issues, special days and nights, faith issues, moral elements, especially the COVID-19 pandemic. In the study, first of all, information was given about the history and importance of the sermon subject in Islamic history and culture, and the sermons published in 2020 were examined in terms of the subjects they contain and classified according to their subjects.

All male members of the dynasty had the right to the throne. This birthright of every member of the dynasty led to the throne fights after the death of a ruler, and the state became quite frayed in some periods. However, Seljuk rulers determined the person to take the throne after them for various reasons, such as protecting their country from internal and external dangers, strengthening the position of their children whom they believe would be a good ruler, eliminating threats to the throne, continuing the alliance between states, or preventing any confusion that may arise in the event of their death. In this study, the determination of the successor and succession ceremonies in the Seljuk states were evaluated with regard to the sources of the period. It is concluded in the present study that there occurred a declaration of the successor since Tughril Beg, the first ruler of the Great Seljuk State, and that it was very important for his interlocutors. The monarchs of Seljuks of Turkey, Iraq, and Syria similarly appointed the successors. It is observed that these monarchs designated one of their children, brother or nephew as the crown prince for succession. Although it was customary that the succession should be given to the eldest among the children of the monarch, it did not always happen in that way. The successor was sometimes named as the youngest child of the monarch, and the election of the crown was sometimes influenced by the ongoing internal struggles for the throne and foreign political developments. However, the most effective way to ascend the throne was always to seize it with strength no matter who was named as the successor.

It is important to understand how the local architecture responds to the past lifestyles of the local dwelling, assuming that it was formed in accordance with the past lifestyles. For this purpose, the results will be concretized graphically and numerically using the method of space sentax analysis. The aim is to determine the differentiation between the types in the local houses in the village of Sandıma and the differentiation that has arisen as a result of the types receiving period additions. A literature study on Sandıma was carried out, interviews were held with experts, and data on restitution projects, Yalıkavak (Bodrum) Sandıma Urban Conservation Area Conservation Master Plan and Implementation Zoning Plan Revision Plan Explanation Report, Scientific Opinion Report were obtained. As a result of field inspection and photography, housing examples belonging to 4 different plan types and their periodical additions and transformations were documented. The restitution plans of the identified examples of houses were evaluated by the method of numerical analysis of space sequence. The computer program "Agraph", which is used within the space syntax method, was used for this evaluation. The results show that the different types of local dwellings in Sandima have similarities in their interior spatial organization, despite the period additions. The fact that the houses were in ruins, had received period additions in the past, and therefore required reconstruction projects made the research difficult. Due to the lack of historical information on the change/reconstruction of the houses, the explanation of the period additions and sociological effects was insufficient.

Social expectations in terms of gender roles and sexuality turn out to be central arguments while reviving the national consciousness. The focus of this analysis is on Shelagh Delaney’s 1958 play A Taste of Honey, which critiques traditionally assigned roles of motherhood and womanhood. Delaney, a prominent figure in the Kitchen Sink drama movement, explores the mother-daughter relationship between Helen and Jo, who grapple with family issues amid poverty. This study investigates how motherhood is portrayed as a burden rather than an inherent sacrifice throughout the play. It also delves into the characters’ rejection of traditional gender roles, leading to emotional distance and societal defiance. Delaney introduces Geof, a male character with nurturing maternal instincts, challenging conventional gender norms. The central argument of this analysis is to examine how Delaney dismantles stereotypical gender roles through her unconventional characters in A Taste of Honey within the context of feminist criticism.

In this sense, it is likely to think that besides the need to take care of the language of expressing philosophical words, it is of a potential that explaining the terms by exemplifying them for the sake of making them understandable would guide the internalization of these terms by philosophy learners. In the current study, how the term in dictionary Felsefî Meslekler Vokabüleri, which is known to be the first philosophy vocabulary with Latin letters after the Republic in Turkey likely to be qualified as such an attempt, was tended to be explained through poetry was investigated. In this sense, it was aimed to determine to what extent this method that was preferred for the fifteen terms in this dictionary was realized. Whether the poetry could exemplify the related term was discussed. As a conclusion, it was found that the poems used in the dictionary, much beyond just the formal similarity, were of supportive and exemplifying features with a few exceptions in terms of philosophical context. Accordingly, it was observed that the abstract structure of philosophy was embodied by means of a supportive tool like poetry. Therefore, it was found that this case is a big step for philosophy teaching in terms of the period it was written and of its objectives and functions.

Urban identity is the collective cultural, historical, social, and physical characteristics of a settlement, serving as a critical concept that strengthens the sense of belonging among its residents and distinguishes the city from others. This study examines the urban identity of Gaziantep’s historic Sefer Paşa Neighborhood, analyzing the extent to which this identity has been preserved and identifying the factors influencing it. Within this context, the study employs Kevin Lynch’s urban image theory. According to Lynch, a city’s identity is built upon five key elements: paths, edges, nodes, districts, and landmarks. These components were evaluated in this study through visual analyses and the perceptions of neighborhood residents. Sefer Paşa Neighborhood was selected as the research area due to its location in the historic center of Gaziantep. Visual examinations based on photographs and surveys conducted with 100 residents of the neighborhood were carried out. The surveys addressed topics such as the degree of historical identity preservation, the adequacy of paths, and preferences for living in the neighborhood. Findings reveal that the historical fabric of the neighborhood has deteriorated due to factors such as earthquakes, population density, tourism pressure, unplanned restorations, and pollution. Survey results indicate that while most residents perceive shortcomings in the preservation of historical identity, some believe that significant cultural and historical elements still remain. The study recommends harmonized restoration planning, improved traffic regulations, and awareness campaigns emphasizing the value of cultural heritage.

Abstract: There is no definite information about the place and date of birth of Lütfi Pasha. Although some information about his life is included in works such as Tevârih-i âl-i Osman and âsaf-nâme, no explanation has been made about his place and date of birth. This issue is not mentioned in later sources either. However, it is frequently stated in the sources of the period that Lütfi Pasha was of Albanian origin. It is narrated that he was taken to the palace as "Harem-i Hâss" during the reign of Bayezid II and that he was educated there for many years. When Yavuz Sultan Selim ascended to the throne (1512-1520), he was transferred from his position as Çuhadar to the provinces as a müteferrika with a salary of fifty akçe; He later reported that he served as the Chief of the Chasnigir, the Chief of the Kapucu, the Mir-alem, the Sanjak of Kastamonu, the Karaman Governor, the Governor of Anatolia, and that he was appointed as the Vizier and finally the Grand Vizier during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent. People living in groups have felt the need to choose a leader and accept his authority over time. This need emerged in early human communities and primitive tribes and has continued to the present day with different forms of governance. In this system, the person with the highest power and authority is called the "governor", while those under his rule are defined as the "governed". The governed can also be expressed with different terms such as the people, subjects, the cumhur or the ummah. In this way, a form of governance emerged to ensure social order. The word politics, in addition to its dictionary meanings of ensuring that an object remains in good condition and taking care of it, also means taming animals or training horses. However, in a broader sense, politics is defined as the art of conducting and managing the affairs of society and governing groups of people. Lutfi Pasha mentions a flaw in each of the other Islamic states other than the Ottoman State and the Seljuk State. He states that some of the Umayyads were Kharijites, some of the Abbasids were Rafizis, and that the beliefs and faiths of the Ottomans were clean and flawless, and that they were Sunni Muslims and had good morals. The Seljuks, like the Ottomans, were not like other states with clean beliefs. In addition, the Seljuks were like guides and guides showing the way to the Ottomans. With these views, Lutfi Pasha also supports the principle that the Turkish states are the continuation of each other. Lutfi Pasha states that the grand viziers should not have bad intentions and that they should do everything for the sake of Allah and for the love of Allah. According to him, there is no higher position to reach Allah; this is the highest goal. Grand viziers and administrators should accept Allah as the witness of everything they do while performing their duties and should act with a sense of responsibility towards Him. The vizier must protect the sultan from acquiring wealth and committing sins through indulgence in wealth. Lütfi Pasha personally ensured that the money entering the state treasury was kept as a trust until his heirs arrived. Lütfi Pasha directly warned both the vizier and the sultan, emphasizing that the vizier's duty was to always tell the truth. According to him, once the vizier conveyed the truth to the sultan, the responsibility was no longer his and passed to the sultan. When the vizier presented the matter to the sultan, the consequences of the sultan's decisions became entirely his and he reminded him that he would have to give an account of these decisions to Allah on the Day of Judgement.

Fractal geometry is a part of Euclidean geometry. Many structures in nature do not have a regular formation. All of the formations in nature, which are very difficult to measure, can be explained by dimensions that have no end in practice. These forms appeared as amorphous according to Euclidean geometry and as amorphous solids according to structural science. Such structures are called fractals. Some fractal structures are sometimes so complex that they cannot be expressed either algebraically or artistically. The discovery of geometry facilitated the examination of these proportional facts and gradually the language of the universe began to be understood. Fractal geometry, which we can call the geometry of nature, has manifested itself in all living and non-living beings and has contributed to the creation of many different works with the use of today's technologies. In this study, it will be tried to show the fact that fractal geometry exists in garment design as well as its applications in different branches of art. In the study, in addition to fractal geometry and its properties, the use of the Golden Ratio and Fibonacci number sequence in ancient civilisations will be shown together with current clothing design examples, and how fractal geometric designs are used will be analysed and transferred by making use of famous designers who have left their mark on fashion. The universe of the study is the properties of fractal geometry and its use in clothing design and the sample is Jean Paul Gaultier, Cristian Dior, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, Dolce Gabanna, Balmain ve Rahul Mishra designs. Document analysis method was chosen as the data collection method for the study. In order to obtain the study data, in addition to the existing printed sources, internet documents will be consulted.

It plays a crucial role in transmitting cultural heritage and traditions to future generations. Many ancient customs associated with this holiday continue to be celebrated today. Despite historically oppressive regimes, Azerbaijani artists’ commitment to addressing traditional themes in their works remains of great importance. In this study, the Nowruz-themed works of prominent Azerbaijani artists Azim Azimzade, Sattar Bahlulzade, Togrul Narimanbayov, Khalida Safarova, and Arif Huseynov, leading figures in Azerbaijani painting, have been examined and evaluated based on their thematic, chromatic, and compositional features. This study focuses on seven selected works: Azim Azimzade’s “Nowruz Holiday”, Togrul Narimanbeyov’s “Festival in Baku Villages” and “Lovers in Icherisheher”, Sattar Bahlulzade’s “Azerbaijani Fairy Tale”, Khalida Safarova’s “Nowruz Holiday”, and Arif Huseynov’s “Fire Wednesday”. These pieces, currently exhibited in various museums and held in private collections, exemplify a masterful articulation of cultural narratives. The analyzed works feature human figures rendered in vibrant color palettes and dynamic compositions. Thus, the artists capture the spirit of Nowruz by depicting festive scenes filled with people in traditional clothing and symbolic objects that represent the holiday.

The sample of this retrospective and descriptive study consisted of theses registered in the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education. The key words “ethics”, “nursing” and “care” and the English terms “ethics”, “care” and “nursing” were used. The studies conducted in the last five years in the field of nursing were included in the study by examining the purpose, sample and methods. According to the researches, a total of fifteen studies, including one doctoral thesis and fourteen master's theses, were examined on the concept of ethics. In these studies, the subject of ethics was discussed under the titles of ethical problems, ethical sensitivity, ethical attitude and perception of ethical climate. It was observed that ethical problems experienced by special areas such as intensive care were specialized and found a place in the literature, while the concept of ethics in psychiatry clinics was not addressed in postgraduate studies. In the studies, it was observed that there are different ethical sensitivities and ethical climates between institutions and between units in an institution and it is necessary to gain a common understanding. According to the results obtained, it was determined that the concept of ethics in the field of nursing was addressed more frequently in graduate theses. It was thought that it is important to consider the ethical approach as a team and that it can ensure that nursing care is effective, qualified and holistic. It has been determined that multicenter studies aiming to determine the ethical problems experienced in the field, ethical approaches and sensitivity of the personnel, and the factors affecting ethical decision-making processes are needed.

Biologically, gender determination becomes a category that determines people’s lives over time. This form of classification brings about discrimination among people as a determinant of behavior and thought. Discrimination between individuals creates an unequal social structure. While judgments based on gender are imposed on women and men, they also create gender expectations and affect individuals’ perceptions. The meanings attributed to women - men identities by individuals as a group’s culture or behavioral pattern determine gender perception. The perception of gender, which emerges through the internalization of the norms and values of the society in which one lives during the socialization process, froms the basis of gender inequality. Gender inequality is the failure of women and men to have equal rights and participate equally in public and private spheres. The discrimination caused by gender inequality puts men in a position of superiority over women, ignoring their individual abilities. Feminist theorists have argued that it isn’t enough to look at gender relations only from a biological perspective, but also from a social perspective. According to radical feminist theory, the patriarchal structure is the reason why women are in a secondary status, and women must destroy this system in order to gain their freedom. The secondary status of women has aslso found its place in the theatre, ehich is a reflection of society. Shakespeare contributed to the examination of radical feminist theory with the characters of Gertrude and Ophelşa in the tragedy Hamlet.

Using a phenomenographic qualitative research method, the study explores how students perceive and evaluate AI. The research was conducted with 40 voluntary 8th-grade students randomly selected from a public school during the 2024-2025 academic year. As a data collection tool, students were given cards containing the phrase "AI is like... because..." and asked to complete the sentence. The students' metaphors were analyzed through a five-step process: naming and labeling, classification, categorization, reliability assessment, and quantitative analysis. Participating students produced 134 different metaphors. It shows that students evaluated artificial intelligence in the context of education, technology, cognitive skills, social interaction, threats, and efficiency. It was determined that students perceive AI as a tool that facilitates access to information, promotes creative thinking, and leads educational innovations. For students, AI emerges as a technology that drives labor force transformation, enhances efficiency, provides easy access to information, and simplifies life. However, AI is perceived as a tool that supports learning and as a technology that carries potential risks if not used carefully. It was found that students view AI as a technology that imitates human intelligence and has vast potential yet still possesses certain limitations. When examining students' perceptions of AI regarding social interaction and communication, it was discovered that they see AI as a technology capable of human-like abilities and effective communication with people. Consequently, AI is perceived as an indispensable technology for efficiency and productivity. The study reveals that students have developed an awareness of AI and a critical perspective toward it. The research underscores the need to develop policies for the conscious use of AI in education.

The figures of speech, which is defined as “the art of expressing meaning in different ways and revealing the differences between these ways” as a concept of rhetoric, examines the nuances between these methods. In this framework, al-Nasafī drew attention to the literary arts in the Qur'an, especially the figures of speech such as simile, metaphor, and allegory, and touched upon the effects of these arts on meaning. Thus, he emphasized the practical aspect of the figures of speech and did not enter into the theoretical discussions of the science of rhetoric. This study examines the author's approach to the literary subtleties in the verses and how he interpreted these arts with examples. In addition, the author's contribution to eloquence is discussed from both theoretical and practical perspectives.

The primary objective of the research is to identify the music listening habits of students at Kocaeli University and to examine the factors influencing their music preferences. In this context, various aspects such as students' daily music listening durations, preferred music genres, listening environments, and the purposes for which they listen to music have been investigated. The study also aims to contribute to the understanding of how music listening habits influence young individuals’ identity formation processes, social relationships, and academic performance. A survey model was employed in this research. The study sample consists of 700 students from different faculties at Kocaeli University. Data were collected through online questionnaires, and frequency and percentage distributions were used in the analysis process. The findings indicate that participants predominantly listen to music for entertainment, relaxation, and leisure purposes. It is emphasized that music is not merely a means of entertainment among young people but also serves as a multifaceted tool that significantly contributes to emotional expression, identity formation, and social bonding. The study reveals that the daily duration of music listening typically ranges between 2 to 4 hours, demonstrating that music holds a significant place in students’ daily routines. Moreover, a correlation between the purposes of listening to music and the duration of listening was observed, highlighting that music is not only an activity but also an emotional and enjoyable experience. It is noted that personal preferences and social interactions play a crucial role in shaping students' music choices, with music being predominantly listened to at home and during walks. Mobile devices, particularly smartphones, facilitate the music listening process, and popular music applications, particularly Spotify, are widely preferred among young people. The findings also indicate that pop music is the most preferred genre among students, whereas religious/spiritual music is the least preferred. These results suggest that music preferences are influenced by personal and diverse factors and that young individuals use music as a tool to enrich their lives. In conclusion, the study emphasizes that music is not only a means of entertainment for young university students but also a significant emotional and social experience. The research highlights that music listening habits are shaped by contemporary technology, the influence of popular culture, and social environment factors, thereby underscoring the universality of music. The findings also suggest the necessity of further in-depth exploration into the potential effects of university students' music listening habits on their social interactions and academic performance.

At the same time, discussions and suggestions continue on how to make assessments in art more accurate. Evaluation activities play a critical role in education and teaching, aiming to determine whether learning objectives are successfully achieved. Various evaluation methods have been developed and implemented to assess cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning. Particularly in the field of art, the integration of theoretical and practical learning is of great significance. The extent to which theoretical knowledge at the cognitive level can be transferred to practical applications remains a topic of discussion. Two commonly used evaluation methods in art are portfolio assessment and performance evaluation. In addition to these widely used methods, alternative evaluation methods such as self-assessment, peer assessment, presentation assessment, group assessment, and collaborative assessment have also been proposed. However, it is fair to say that these alternative methods are less preferred by evaluators due to their time-consuming and challenging nature. Instead of relying on a single method, combining two or three different evaluation approaches sequentially and comparing their outcomes to determine their level of congruence has been explored. Various combined evaluation practices in art have been conducted, and the results have been published as articles. This paper discusses a comparative evaluation application conducted with the same aim. In the context of a sculpture course, which requires both theoretical and practical instruction, self-assessment and collaborative assessment methods were applied together. The results of both evaluations were determined individually using an open discussion method and through unanimous agreement. It has been observed, based on the students' own statements, that working collaboratively with the teacher during the evaluation process not only provided students with a better understanding of how to conduct multidimensional assessments but also contributed to their self-confidence.

By identifying the factors that influence chefs' job satisfaction and organizational commitment, the research seeks to develop human resources strategies for the sector. The study aims to make three main contributions: to provide new insights specific to the gastronomy sector, to explain the relationships between chefs' demographic characteristics and working conditions, and to develop strategic recommendations for sectoral practices. The research was conducted on chefs appointed by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) and analyzed using quantitative methods. The sample consists of 425 chefs, all of whom are currently active in their positions within the MEB and voluntarily participated in the study by responding to the data collection instruments. The study utilized Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment scales, and the findings were gathered based on these scales. The Job Satisfaction scale was designed as a six-point Likert scale, while the Organizational Commitment scale was designed as a five-point Likert scale. The questionnaire consists of three sections: the first section addresses demographic variables, the second measures job satisfaction, and the third assesses chefs' organizational commitment. In the context of the research, data were collected through face-to-face surveys and e-forms. The obtained data were compiled into a single file for transfer to the SPSS software, and frequency and percentage analyses were conducted using the relevant statistical software package. The findings from the study suggest that in order to strengthen the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational commitment, businesses should particularly review their organizational policies, improve working conditions to make them healthier and safer, and be more sensitive to employees' individual needs. These strategic approaches are identified as having the potential to increase employees' commitment to the organization, thereby improving overall job performance.

Nevertheless, it remains a crucial component of the educational oversight process and warrants examination from various perspectives. For instance, analyzing the supervision systems of other countries can provide solutions to existing issues and help establish a more effective supervision system. This research explores the educational supervision systems of select countries and draws inferences for Türkiye's system. The study highlights both the similarities and differences in educational supervision practices, which contribute to the success of countries such as Poland, Latvia, Hungary, and Lithuania. These nations share a similar socio-economic structure with Türkiye but performed better in the 2022 international exam results. The audit structures of these countries were compared with those of Türkiye. The research employed document analysis, making it a qualitative, exploratory study. The findings indicate that while Poland, Lithuania, and Hungary implement a centralized supervision system, Latvia incorporates an additional local supervision mechanism. Key aspects such as transparency, ongoing evaluation, integration with policy-making, and support for professional development in these countries' supervision systems could enhance the effectiveness and quality of Türkiye’s educational system.

In this study, the effects of mental endurance levels of elite athletes in underwater sports branches on their mental state in competition were examined. A total of 137 male and 37 female participants consisting of elite athletes over the age of 18 in underwater hockey, underwater rugby, free diving, and tracked swimming branches of underwater sports at the competition level determined by the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation participated voluntarily. In order to associate the participants' age, gender, duration of sportsmanship in their branch, national sportsmanship status, number of training sessions per week, underwater branch and mental endurance levels, Personal Information Form and Mental Endurance Inventory in Sports were used to collect data online with 'Google Form' without coming together with the data source. In the findings, it was observed that male athletes were higher than female athletes in the sub-dimensions of trust and control, and team athletes had higher mean scores than individual athletes in the sub-dimension of control. It was determined that there was no statistical difference between national and non-national athletes in the mental toughness inventory in sports. A low level positive significant relationship was found between sport year and mental toughness inventory. It was determined that the mental toughness levels of athletes differed according to gender, sport branch and sport year. When the differentiation in the sub-dimension of trust was examined, it was determined that the differentiation was significant in favor of the athletes who trained the highest number of weekly training (training 5 times or more per week). It was determined that participants who were national athletes had higher mental toughness levels than participants who were not national athletes. It was determined that there was no differentiation in the continuity sub-dimension depending on the mental endurance levels of the participants and the duration of active sportsmanship, but it was significant in the control and continuity sub-dimensions. According to the answers given by the participants throughout the scale, it was determined that the participants had a moderate level of mental toughness, close to high level.

The longest-lived of these principalities is the Artuqids, who took part in history in three branches: Mardin, Hısn-ı Keyfa and Harput. Occupying an important place in Anatolian Turkish-Islamic history both politically, culturally and artistically, the Artuqids were the first Turkish State to challenge the Crusader invasion, as well as making significant contributions to the development of healing houses, madrasahs and mosque cultures. The principality, whose foundations were laid in the Jerusalem region, which was acquired by Artuk Bey, one of the commanders of the Great Seljuk Sultan Alparslan, as a result of his alliance with the Syrian Seljuk Ruler Tutuş, was founded by Artuk Bey's sons, Sökmen and Sökmen, after the Fatimids captured Jerusalem after the death of Artuk Bey. It was established and developed by Ilgazi in the Al Jazeera region. Thus began the historical adventure of the Artuqid States, which would play an important role in the Anatolian geography gaining a Turkish identity. At the beginning of the Crusades, which deeply shook Turkish and Islamic civilization, the Islamic world was defeated and demotivated. At such a time, the Artuqids, who were one of the first Turkish States to resist the Crusaders under the leadership of famous leaders such as Sökmen, İlgazi and Belek Gazi, made great services to the Turkish and Islamic world by closing the road to Al Jazeera, Iraq and Northern Syria to the Crusaders with great victories such as Harran and Afrin. In our study, the sources in Turkey that have been translated into Turkish and contain information about the Artuqids will be evaluated and the aspects that shed light on the Artuqid history will be revealed.

This study includes biographical information about Sabahattin Ali's life, his departure abroad and his death. Because Sabahattin Ali is called 'Storyteller', in the study, Sabahattin Ali's stories are within the scope of values education of the Ministry of National Education; Values of respect, love, responsibility, savings, patriotism and helpfulness were examined. Stories, which we can call cultural accumulation, have a great place, impact and importance in teaching values. While the lives of the characters in the stories are conveyed to the reader, the reader gets an idea about someone else's life and in this sense, the reader's perspective expands. In order to raise people who are sensitive to values and have personal and universal values, the use of stories in education and training activities can open horizons and increase sensitivity towards values. In this sense, including values in teaching plans through literary expression through stories is practical for educators and effective and entertaining for students. Processing the values in the flow of the story without being noticed by the reader and student, and then reinforcing them with techniques such as activities, games, drama and role-playing to support the values, increases permanence and effectiveness.

The study was conducted in accordance with the qualitative research design methodology, and the speeches or sentences related to the findings determined through document review were quoted under the headings of relevant values. The frequency table for the values identified in the stories is added at the end of the study. As a result, it has been determined which values in the values education program of the Ministry of National Education are included more in Sabahattin Ali's stories, which values are treated more in the stories, and how the values are conveyed to the reader.
