In this regard, religions require believers not only to adopt these principles of faith but also to internalize them by transforming them into desired behaviors and making them visible in daily life. These principles function as fundamental dynamics shaping both individual forms of religiosity and the social sphere. The period between the ages of 7 and 11 represents a critical developmental stage in which the foundations of religious awareness and worship habits—particularly prayer (ṣalāh)—are established in children. During this stage, children may experience difficulty in making sense of prayer, which is an abstract concept that becomes concrete through practice. Nevertheless, they are highly receptive to developing behaviors through identification, modeling, and repetition. In the acquisition of prayer awareness, the attitudes and approaches of the family, social environment, and peer groups play a decisive role. In this process, prayer should be presented not merely as an obligation but as a meaningful act of worship through which the individual communicates with God, seeks refuge, and attains inner peace. This understanding should be conveyed through positive examples within a loving and supportive family environment, which constitutes the child’s primary social setting. This study adopts a qualitative research approach. Document analysis was used in the data collection process, while the analysis of the data drew upon the literature on religious education as well as fundamental and contemporary pedagogical and psychological sources. Furthermore, the process of developing prayer awareness is exemplified within the framework of the Affective Domain Taxonomy proposed by David R. Krathwohl.

This study aims to examine the Battle of Sakarya not merely through a chronological account of military developments, but from the perspective of military geography, with particular emphasis on the effects of terrain structure, geomorphological features, hydrographic systems, climatic conditions, transportation facilities, and logistical factors on strategic decision-making processes. The research employs qualitative methods, combining historical document analysis and case study. Archival documents of the General Staff Military History and Strategic Studies Presidency (ATASE), war diaries, military sketches, memoirs, and the relevant scholarly literature were evaluated together with field observations and map analyses conducted on the battlefield. The findings indicate that the meandering and difficult-to-cross hydrographic structure of the Sakarya River, together with the rugged, compartmentalized, and depth-providing topography of the Haymana Plateau, offered substantial advantages to the Turkish defensive system. This geographical setting enhanced the practical applicability of the doctrine shaped by Mustafa Kemal Pasha’s principle, “There is no line of defense, but an area of defense,” and, through interior lines, natural obstacles, and defensive depth, significantly weakened the offensive tempo of the Greek army. Moreover, extended supply lines, arid environmental conditions, and terrain constraints adversely affected the operational sustainability of the Greek forces and proved decisive in the outcome of the battle. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that the Battle of Sakarya constitutes a distinctive case in military geography by revealing the influence of geographical conditions on strategic decision-making, defensive organization, and logistical endurance.

This study aims to evaluate the extent to which artificial intelligence (AI) tools are capable of translating historical Turkish texts written in the Latin alphabet into Modern Turkish by testing their performance on a sample text and identifying their strengths and limitations. This study employs a qualitative methodology, and its findings and evaluations are valid only as of the research date. The current lack of large openly accessible Turkish language models constitutes an additional constraint. The study also presents a comparative overview of the strengths and weaknesses of widely used AI tools in a summary table. The sample text used in the research is a 220-word excerpt selected from âdâb-ı Makâl (Etiquette of Speech), a work written in Old Anatolian Turkish. The text was submitted to a well-known AI tool every ten days using the same prompt, with the request to translate it into modern Turkish. The following criteria were used to analyze the resulting outputs: structural integrity, lexical preferences, syntax, religious terminology, semantic fidelity, and instances of addition or omission. The findings were further corroborated by two independent domain experts’ assessments. The results indicate that AI tools can produce acceptable outputs when translating historical Latin texts. However, they encounter certain difficulties in preserving contextual accuracy and semantic precision due to archaic linguistic structures, specialized vocabulary, and orthographic features. According to the evaluation results, Claude emerges as the most suitable tool for this purpose, distinguished by its performance in long-text analysis, academic reliability, and capacity for contextual preservation. However, perplexity tends to produce more freely adapted translations oriented toward the modern reader. ChatGPT may be considered a viable third alternative. Once Turkish large language models—trained on specialized datasets tailored to historical texts—are made openly accessible, translations are expected to maintain consistent contextual and semantic fidelity.

This study examines the phenomenon of "silence"—traditionally defined as the absence of sound or speech, or as a passive acoustic void—from an interdisciplinary perspective, focusing on its ontological, aesthetic, social, and structural layers. On a philosophical level, silence is treated not as muteness, but as a positive and constitutive ground where existence and truth become audible. In the sociological and cultural dimension, this phenomenon, which has become a scarce luxury in the modern age of noise, serves as a strategic carrier of meaning that regulates communicative relations in both Eastern and Western practices. In the art of music, silence (rests) does not consist of random gaps interrupting the flow of a piece; rather, it is an active building block that constructs the architectural integrity of the musical form, manages dramatic tension, and ensures the listener's cognitive participation in the performance. Redefined as a measurable unit of "duration" through avant-garde approaches, silence has transformed into a democratic space that also encompasses unintended environmental sounds. Consequently, this research demonstrates that silence is not a deficiency that limits the artwork, but a fundamental value that intrinsically generates aesthetic and cognitive perception.

This study examines the concept of the “literary milieu” through Mahfûzât-ı Edebiyye, a work written during the Second Constitutional Period by Salih Sâim Unar, regarded as one of the late examples of Ottoman literary historiography. Although Classical Turkish literature continued its existence until the Republican era, from the nineteenth century onward it gradually lost its productive capacity under the influence of Western literary movements and began to display a repetitive and conventional character. However, this transformation does not indicate a complete rupture; rather, it represents a transitional process in which classical literature persisted within a limited yet self-conscious intellectual milieu.

The primary aim of this study is to demonstrate that literary taste is not merely an individual talent or innate ability, but a collective phenomenon shaped within a specific social, cultural, and spiritual environment. The research adopts a qualitative methodology and is based on a text-centered analysis of Mahfûzât-ı Edebiyye as its principal source. The poems, figures, and evaluations included in the work are examined in relation to the classical Ottoman biographical (tezkire) tradition and are comparatively analyzed through the perspectives of modern literary sociology.

The findings indicate that Salih Sâim Unar, as a conscious reader of classical poetry, assumed an active role within the literary milieu. By compiling selected poems and presenting them with brief commentaries, he functioned as a cultural mediator between poets and readers. Moreover, this practice provides insight into how literary taste was shaped, preserved, and transmitted within a specific cultural context.
In conclusion, the study argues that Mahfûzât-ı Edebiyye is not merely an anthology but also a significant source that conveys the aesthetic values and literary milieu of classical literature into the twentieth century. In this respect, it offers a valuable contribution to understanding continuity and transformation in Ottoman literary tradition.

The purpose of this study is to investigate Ancient Gods, Rituals and their Reflections on Current Sports. A literature review has been conducted. Ancient Greek rituals form the basis of the Olympic Games. The torch-lighting ritual is performed in memory of Prometheus giving fire to humans and is used in honor of Zeus. Award ceremonies have evolved over time from ancient olive wreaths to modern medals. Games are celebrated with pagan rituals in honor of the gods. Ancient heroes and gods continue to live in the names and symbols of today's sports teams, which shows the deep-rooted connection of sports with mythology. Media and social media play a major role in the spread of these ancient religions and their symbols, and in ensuring that people are interested in and influenced by them. While Ishtar, especially among the Mesopotamian gods and goddesses, is frequently mentioned in the world of sports, Christian and Islamic teams frequently use both Ashur and Ishtar despite knowing that they are pagan gods. Internationally, Nimrod is often associated with Israeli sports teams and individuals. Greek gods are the most popular gods in the world of sports. Sports manufacturers, championships and trophies are named after them, and famous athletes are named after them. The Olympic Games are still held to honor these gods. Conclusion: Today, people all over the world believe in symbolic references to ancient mythical gods and goddesses. Their superpowers, whimsical whims, desire for revenge and physical strength, as well as their legendary stories, continue to inspire many areas of life, even sports.

The sustainability of numerous digital services that directly influence everyday life and production processes, ranging from cloud computing to artificial intelligence applications, depends on the existence and uninterrupted operation of these centers. In this context, the global geographical distribution of data centers directly affects global social and economic dynamics through factors such as energy demand and consumption, cooling requirements, data security, and geopolitical positioning. The concentration of data centers in certain regions is closely related to factors such as the level of scientific and technological development, the investment environment, the capacity of energy infrastructure, political stability, tax incentives, access to high-speed fiber-optic networks, and climatic conditions. Therefore, data centers are not “placeless” structures; rather, they are strategic spaces shaped by energy, political, and infrastructural dynamics at both national and international scales. From this perspective, the geography of data centers is not merely a technical issue but also a multilayered field of analysis with social, economic, and political dimensions. Today, the internet, digitalization, and artificial intelligence have permeated all aspects of life, and digital infrastructure has produced its own spatial organization. In this sense, the present study aims to analyze the geographical patterns of data centers at the global scale.

The Symbolic Construction of War and Peace in The Fly That Ended the War: The Reinterpretation of the Fly in Children’s Literature

Although childhood is often associated with innocence, limiting child and young readers to a narrative world that reflects only the positive aspects of life constrains the educational and transformative function of literature. Therefore, children’s literature should not be confined to representing what is “good” and “pleasant,” but should also present challenging realities such as war, conflict, and violence in ways that are aesthetically and pedagogically appropriate to the child’s level of perception. This study aims to examine how the concepts of war and peace are constructed in Bryndís Björgvinsdóttir’s The Fly That Stopped the War, and how these concepts are conveyed to both child and adult readers through the dialogues of fly characters rather than human agents. Employing qualitative textual analysis, the study evaluates the narrative structure, character construction, and symbolic framework of the work within the context of war, peace, and ethical awareness. The findings indicate that war is not represented solely as a military conflict, but as a multilayered phenomenon that also encompasses human domination over other living beings. In contrast, peace is constructed through empathy, coexistence, respect for differences, and non-violent modes of resolution. Notably, the fly—traditionally perceived as insignificant and undesirable—is reconfigured as a symbolic representative of peace within the narrative. This transformation establishes a powerful symbolic structure suggesting that even the smallest and most overlooked beings can produce significant outcomes, thereby encouraging young readers to engage in ethical reflection

In line with this question, the aim is to analyze the formal and semantic reflections of the concept of the uncanny within Dupré's artistic practice. The theoretical foundation of the study is established by considering the historical and intellectual development of the concept and the views of important figures who have shaped theory on the axis of the uncanny. Methodologically, Gillian Rose's compositional interpretation approach has been adopted; visual interventions that reveal uncanny situations such as breaks in representation, tension between the familiar and the foreign, and displacement of meaning have been analyzed through portrait collages of five well-known figures produced by Dupré in different periods. Sample selection was carried out the purposive sampling approach, which involves deliberate identification of works that represent the subject of the study. Research findings show that Dupré's visual interventions are not limited to formal deformation; they create a multi-layered structure of meaning that produces unease, uncertainty, and perceptual instability, activating a sense of uncanniness. In this context, the study enables an assessment of Dupré's distinctive production practice and aims to contribute to the field by making visible the relationship between collage aesthetics and uncanniness.

The basic human needs of shelter and clothing were the biggest factors in the emergence of weaving. Archaeological findings show that the origins of weaving date back thousands of years. During these periods, textiles were generally made on simple hand looms using plant fibers (linen, cotton) and animal wool. In the Middle Ages, the art of weaving continued to develop its own identity in different geographical regions. Weaving experienced one of its most glorious periods during the Seljuk and Ottoman eras. One of the biggest turning points in the history of weaving is the industrial revolution. Weaving holds an important place in both traditional handicrafts and industrial production. Family-themed motifs in traditional textiles serve both as decoration and as a means of communication in transmitting a culture’s family structure, beliefs, and values to future generations. These motifs build a symbolic bridge between the past and the present, adding meaning to woven products while also reminding us of the importance of family unity. This article examines the place and importance of family-themed motifs in the rich symbolic world of Turkish weaving art from a scientific perspective. These motifs, particularly found in textiles from Kahramanmaraş and surrounding provinces such as Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kayseri, and Sivas, reflect fundamental human values such as cultural continuity, life cycle, love, attachment, productivity, and protection. This article aims to reveal regional differences and shared cultural ties by analyzing the meaning, visual characteristics, and relationship of each motif to the concept of family in detail, based on data obtained from sources in the literature.

The aim of this article is to examine the practice of documenting time in On Kawara’s artistic practice within the framework of philosophical foundations and the concepts of difference and repetition, and to evaulate it within the context of contemporary art. Kawara holds a significant place among artists who have produced works on the theme of time, particularly within the context of the 20th- century conceptual art. Through works rooted in everyday life, the artist has treated time as an artistic medium and made the flow of time visible through systematic recording methods. The artist has documented and made visible the individual’s existence, their continuity within daily life, and their perspective on time through works that serve as daily records and archives—such as historical paintings, postcards, telegrams, and newspaper clippings. Recurring actions stand out in Kawara’s artistic practice; however, since each work points to a different day, a different time, and a different experience, the concept of repetition is addressed in the article alongside the concept of difference. This demonstrates that repetition is not merely a reenactment based on similarity, but also generates a new temporal difference in each production. Recurring actions stand out in Kawara’s artistic practice; however, since each work points to a different day, a different time, and a different experience, the concept of repetition is addressed in the article alongside the concept of difference. This situation demonstrates that repetition is not merely a reenactment based on similarity, but also generates a new temporal difference in each production. In this vein, the article examines the artist’s works titled “Today Series” and “One Million Years” based on Gilles Deleuze’s ideas regarding difference and repetition, interpreting these works within the context of Deleuze’s concept of the productive structure of difference. In the article, the artist’s works are analyzed within the framework of conceptual and contemporary art through the concepts of time, difference, and repetition, and evaluated using a qualitative interpretive approach.

The sample consists of Jacques Demy’s The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (Les Parapluies de Cherbourg, 1964) and Damien Chazelle’s La La Land (2016). Belonging to different historical periods and cinematic traditions, these two films provide a comparative framework for discussing the continuities and transformations of color design in the musical genre. The study is designed as a qualitative film analysis and employs semiotic analysis together with comparative film analysis. Within this framework, color palette, lighting, costume, set design, spatial arrangement, the position of characters within the frame, and the relationship between color and music are determined as the main analytical categories. The findings indicate that in The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, the pastel color palette renders themes such as love, separation, waiting, fragility, and melancholy visible within a lyrical atmosphere. In contrast, La La Land employs saturated and contrasting colors to articulate nostalgia, performance, dreams, the conflict between fantasy and reality, and the dynamics of contemporary urban life. As a result, the study argues that color design in both films is not merely an aesthetic surface or decorative element. Rather, it functions as a fundamental cinematographic tool that structures the rhythm of the musical narrative, shapes the emotional orientations of the characters, assigns meaning to space, and defines directorial style.

This study aims to examine the impact of instructional designs based on creative writing on students’ writing skill. For this purpose, a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test control group was employed to evaluate the effectiveness of creative writing strategies. The study group consisted of two sixth-grade classes from a public middle school affiliated with the Ministry of National Education during the 2023-2024 academic year. The implementation process lasted ten weeks, with two class hours allocated per week.

Creative writing techniques were introduced and systematically practiced in the experimental group, and their effects on students’ writing skills and writing dispositions were analyzed. The findings indicate that creative writing activities significantly enhanced students’ writing-related competencies and fostered more positive attitudes toward writing compared with traditional writing practices in the current curriculum. Moreover, the persistence test confirmed that the improvements observed in the experimental group were maintained over time. Based on these results, several recommendations have been proposed to integrate creative writing more effectively into instructional processes.

This experiential technology, which may still be considered to be in its early stages, possesses a number of compelling features: its capacity to engage in bidirectional interaction with users, to appeal to multiple senses, and—while reconstructing the virtual through the real—to render this newly emerging image capable of delivering a more immersive simulation experience. Not only mixed reality but extended reality technologies in general are structurally difficult to implement in practical terms. Among these technologies, augmented reality is the one that offers the greatest volume of research and application data. In order to understand mixed reality, it is therefore useful to examine studies concerning augmented reality and virtual reality as well. All extended reality technologies are able to establish a bidirectional connection with users. Although these interactive experiences are created with certain technical differences, they share similar underlying infrastructures; consequently, projections regarding mixed reality drawn from these data may be characterized as reliable. The literature and the applied experiences found in the context of extended reality technologies and advertising are generally related to marketing; for this reason, the direction of the research has proceeded not as a direct advertising application but as advertising activities conducted within marketing. This may be regarded as a circumstance that strengthens confidence in the projections concerning the potential effects of advertising activities created through mixed reality. The research has been diversified through both various application data and the brand activities examined, thereby reinforcing the projections.

Disability is approached not merely as an individual condition, but as a socially shaped experience constituted through norms, discourses, and emotional expectations. The study adopts a theoretical and document-based analytical framework, drawing on the literature of spiritual counseling, disability studies, and the sociology of emotions. The analysis focuses on how the notions of patience, gratitude, and divine testing function in producing normative expectations such as compliance, acceptance, and thankfulness among individuals with disabilities. These concepts are shown to operate beyond individual coping strategies, forming a framework in which certain emotional expressions are legitimized while others are problematized. Within this context, the concept of the “acceptable disabled client” is developed to make visible the processes of subject formation operating in the field of spiritual counseling. The study also discusses how individuals who fall outside this normative framework may be labeled as “unacceptable” clients. The findings suggest that spiritual counseling is not solely a supportive practice, but may also function as a mechanism that individualizes inequalities and constrains critical demands. Ultimately, the study argues for a reconsideration of spiritual counseling within the context of disability through a more critical and rights-based perspective.

A Performance Oriented Dramaturgical Examination of Euripides’ The Trojan Women

Conducted based on qualitative research methodology, specifically content analysis, the study systematically evaluates the structural, thematic, and symbolic components of the play under the interconnected headings of identity, context, and dramaturgical analysis. Within the scope of the dramaturgical findings, it has been demonstrated that the play does not adhere to an Aristotelian exposition, complication, resolution scheme; rather than progressing through linear dramatic action, its narrative structure is constructed upon the cumulative intensification of post-war devastation. The analysis identifies the principal thematic axis of the work as the assertion that war produces no true victor, and that power, even at the very moment of triumph, generates an ethical collapse. An examination of character configurations, actional orientations, symbolic elements, and textual units reveals that the dramaturgical mode of narration is grounded less in the staging of physical action than in the representation of consequences and acts of witnessing. In this respect, the play foregrounds testimony and aftermath over conventional dramatic progression. The study ultimately argues that The Trojan Women should be understood not merely as a historical tragedy, but as a potent performance text capable of rearticulating the relationship between power, violence, and memory within contemporary contexts. The structural articulation of these dynamics within the text generates a critical and political staging ground for present-day theatrical practices. Accordingly, the qualitative findings advanced in this research suggest that the play possesses a robust dramatic architecture capable of informing and shaping contemporary staging strategies.

Since the founding of the Republic of Turkey, the health policies of the state - and consequently, of the successive governments - have varied from time to time. In this context, while some governments prioritized the fight against infectious and epidemic diseases - which significantly impact public health - in their programs, others saw socialization policies or liberal policies take precedence due to the prevailing circumstances of the era. In particular, since the early 1980s, the governments’ liberal policies in the health sector have been a decisive factor in the delivery and quality of health services. As a result of the five general elections held between 1980 and 2002, numerous governments were formed, and it is evident that neoliberal policies began to dominate not only in areas such as the economy and education but also in the health sector, leading to significant changes and transformations in this direction. The most notable transformation in terms of the implementation of neoliberal health policies occurred with the 1982 Constitution. With the 1982 Constitution, the state’s role in health services was, first and foremost, redefined. Following this significant change, numerous laws, regulations, and bylaws were enacted, demonstrating efforts to structure health policy and establish it on a legal foundation. This study examines the period between 1980 and 2002, during which neoliberal policies were particularly influential, by analyzing the legal regulations, laws, and decrees enacted in the health sector, as well as the developments that occurred, in an effort to outline the health policy of the era.

Forced Transparency and Ethical Opacity in Palestine: The Frame, the Face, and the Limits of Representation

This article discusses why, in the Palestinian context, images, testimonies, and documents are often not considered sufficient on their own, but rather a deeper political-ethical order that determines which lives are deemed worthy of recognition and which deaths are subject to public mourning. The study's central argument is that the demand for evidence is not merely an innocent procedure for seeking truth but also functions as a power technique that dissipates recognizability, credibility, and mournability. Therefore, the issue is less about what appears in Palestine and more about who is made visible, believable, and defensible under what conditions. The article considers this question around the concepts of frame, face, and opacity. Frame refers not only to the visual boundary but also to the normative threshold of being considered human and recognized as missing, face to the ethical address that transcends evidence and the limit of representation, and opacity to the possibility of a political relationship without exploitation, in contrast to necessary openness. This work demonstrates how testimony is increasingly becoming a procedure, how technical verification regimes push back ethical engagement, and how excessive visibility sometimes recirculates harm instead of producing justice. It also argues that the circulation established between media, law, platforms, and security apparatuses not only records suffering but transforms it into a measurable, controllable, and deferrable object. Simultaneously, it removes the viewer and reader from a neutral position, confronting them with interpretive systems that determine from the outset which words are considered reasonable, and which are deemed dubious. Thus, the language of verification becomes not only the language of information production but also of moral classification. In this respect, the article considers the conditions of representation a political problem. Ultimately, without completely rejecting evidence, the work proposes an ethical position that does not surrender Palestinian life to the need for certainty of others. What is advocated is not silence, but a controlled opacity that carries responsibility for what is shown, what is avoided, and in what context it is spoken.

Rather than treating local disaster capacity only as a set of formal duties defined in official plans, the study evaluates how these duties correspond to implementation practices, inter-institutional data sharing and the management of local vulnerabilities. Designed as a qualitative case study, the research draws on document analysis of the Türkiye Disaster Response Plan, the Türkiye Disaster Risk Reduction Plan, the Erzurum Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Plan, strategic plans and performance programs of Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, and technical reports produced by Atatürk University Earthquake Research Center. These documents are interpreted together with institutional views obtained from AFAD Erzurum Provincial Directorate, Erzurum Governorship, Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality and Atatürk University Earthquake Research Center. The findings show that local disaster capacity in Erzurum has improved at the level of planning documents and institutional structuring; however, limitations remain in the integration of plans with implementation, data sharing, scientific risk knowledge and public risk communication. The study argues that local disaster management capacity should be assessed not only through personnel, equipment and budget, but also through coordination, scientific data use and communication practices that produce public trust.

Born in Italy, he was forced to emigrate to the United States during World War II due to his Jewish identity. The emotional impact of exile and longing for his homeland is often reflected in the recurring thematic material of his chamber music and operatic compositions. While adapting to his new life in America, Tedesco successfully blended neoclassical idioms with freer musical styles such as jazz and foxtrot, and became a significant contributor to the development of Hollywood film music. This study focuses on his Clarinet Sonata, Op. 128, with a particular emphasis on the clarinet part, which carries strong thematic and expressive qualities. The sonata’s structure is examined through formal analysis, identifying major themes that not only define the character of each movement but also require mental and emotional preparation from the performer. Special attention is given to motifs, episodic structures, and the influence of Tedesco’s literary and theatrical background. Technical and expressive aspects of performance are discussed in detail, aiming to provide guidance for clarinetists.By following the development of the main themes and their transformations throughout the work, this research offers a dual approach: it contributes to a theoretical understanding of the piece and serves as a practical resource for clarinet performance preparation. The overall goal is to help performers achieve both musical coherence and emotional depth in interpreting one of Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s most representative neoclassical works.

Speaking is a skill of self-expression. The effective use of this skill strengthens the ability to communicate between people. The most basic rule of effective communication is to pronounce the language correctly. Contrary to popular belief, Turkish is not a language that is read as it is written. This is the basis for mistakes in pronunciation. The mistakes we are exposed to at home, at school and outside are embedded in our language as if they are correct and we continue to use it as we hear it. Errors, especially in songs that are easy to memorize and that get stuck in the tongue, can cause permanent damage to our language. In this study, pronunciation disorders in the most listened Turkish pop songs in Turkey were analyzed. In this study, in which basic qualitative research, one of the qualitative research methods, was used, 30 pop songs, all sung by Turkish singers, were analyzed in terms of pronunciation disorders for one month. The object of the study is the playlist named “Turkish Pop 2024”, which was the most listened to in 2024 on the most preferred music platform for listening to music in the world. This playlist consists of the most listened songs as determined by the users of the platform. Pronunciation disorders were identified as “skipping, slang and vulgar language use, unnecessary use of sounds and words, use of local dialect, slurring, errors in the use of vowels, incorrect use of consonants and wannabe singing” and codes were created. Data were analyzed through content analysis and descriptive analysis. The type and number of speech disorders identified and their proportion in total errors are given. As a result of the research, it was determined that there were pronunciation disorders in the songs analyzed. It was observed that the most common pronunciation disorder was f (67) 23,92% unnecessary use of sounds and words. These results are followed by f (59) 21,07% wannabe singing, f (49) 17,5% use of slang and vulgar language, f (47) 16,79% errors in the use of consonants, f (33) 11,79% omission, f (15) 5,36% strangulation, f (7) 2,5% use of local dialect and f (3) 1,07% errors in the use of vowels.

The study addresses the phenomenon of migration from various angles. Indeed, migration is treated not merely as a spatial act of relocation, but as a multi-layered social condition interwoven with socio-economic structures triggered by the pains of modernisation, as well as crises of identity and belonging. This process, accelerated by driving forces such as mechanisation in agriculture and rural poverty, has provided a critical narrative framework within the art of the period. Within the scope of the research, examples have been selected from the works of three artists whose paintings are directly linked to the subject. Accordingly, a thematic analysis exploring the concept of migration has been conducted through the works of Neşet Günal, Nuri İyem and İbrahim Balaban. Neşet Günal's paintings explore the tragic rupture of an existence rooted in the earth through his monumental figures, whilst Nuri İyem's iconic portraits of women focus on the melancholic and silent inner reflections of migration; whilst İbrahim Balaban’s works examine the struggle for labour and solidarity on the city’s outskirts within a dialectical framework. Drawing on the works of these artists, the aim is to offer a period analysis of the concept of migration—one of the era’s key issues—through the lens of their paintings.

This study aims to examine doctoral and proficiency in arts theses in the field of voice education in Turkey. The theses included in the study were examined according to year, subject area, university and institute, and research methods (research model, data collection tools, and data analysis). The research is important in that it reveals the current situation regarding postgraduate theses on voice training and singing education in Turkey and will provide a valuable resource for researchers working in this field. The research data was obtained by searching the National Thesis Center of the Higher Education Council using the keywords “voice,” “voice training,” “singing,” and “singing training.” The research was limited to doctoral and proficiency in arts theses in the field of voice education completed in Turkey in 2025 and earlier, registered with the National Thesis Center of the Higher Education Council. The study employed a review model and literature review technique. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data obtained during the research; the data obtained were analyzed in accordance with the research objectives; “Basic Approaches and Techniques in Voice Training,” “Voice Training-Phonetics, Articulation, and Linguistics,” “Age-Relatedness in Voice Training (Childhood, Adolescence, and Adulthood),” “Body Awareness, Relaxation Techniques, and Voice Therapy Applications (Yoga, etc.) in Voice Training,” “Voice Training in Different Styles and Repertoires (Opera, Turkish Music, Turkish Folk Music),” "Voice Training - Acting and Musical Theater,“ ”Acoustic Evaluation of Voice,“ ”Voice-Personality-Sociology,“ and ”Voice Training and Teaching."
It was determined that a total of 47 postgraduate theses were accessed, 38 of which were doctoral theses and 9 of which were proficiency in arts theses. It was observed that the most frequently studied subject area, both at the doctoral and proficiency in arts levels and overall, was Voice Training in Different Styles and Repertoires (Opera, Turkish music, Turkish folk music) (12 theses). Age-Relatedness in Voice Training (Childhood, Youth, and Adulthood) (8 theses) and Voice Training-Phonetics, Articulation, and Linguistics (7 theses) were also among the frequently studied topics. The least studied subject area was found to be Voice Training - Acting and Musical Theater (2 theses). It was concluded that the period between 2016 and 2025 saw the highest number of doctoral and proficiency in arts theses in the field of voice education in Turkey; the universities with the highest number of doctoral and proficiency in arts theses in voice education were Gazi University (12 theses), Necmettin Erbakan University (7 theses), and Marmara University (5 theses). It is suggested that increasing the number of doctoral and proficiency in arts level graduate education programs in voice education at universities and supporting and encouraging researchers who wish to specialize in this field will contribute to the growth and acceleration of academic development in the field.

The research was conducted using the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research techniques. Within this scope, Articles 1–40 of the CRC, which regulate state obligations regarding children’s rights, were comparatively analyzed alongside the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye and major statutes concerning child welfare, family law, education, health, social services, labour, media, and the criminal justice system. For each article of the Convention, the presence of a direct regulation, indirect regulation, or a regulatory gap in national legislation was assessed. The findings indicate that the normative framework governing children’s rights in Türkiye is largely consistent with the CRC; however, the fragmented nature of child-related provisions across multiple laws complicates a holistic evaluation and uniform implementation. The study concludes that a more systematic legislative framework and the strengthening of practitioner capacity are essential to ensure the effective realization of children’s rights in line with the CRC.

Ukiyo-e, which defined the period's art movement, were works created by printing designs carved into wooden blocks, usually made of cherry wood, onto traditional Japanese washi paper. In the late nineteenth century, increasing trade and communication between Asian and European countries led to a cultural interaction, resulting in changes in both East and West as a result of mutual influences. Asian art provided European artists and designers with new approaches to space, color, subject matter, and technique that differed significantly from Western traditions. This development particularly revitalized graphic design in the last decade of the nineteenth century. This research will examine the influence and reflection of ukiyo-e on designs produced within the Art Nouveau movement that emerged in the late nineteenth century.

Higher education institutions play a central role in the production and dissemination of knowledge in today's information age. The processes of globalization and modernization are bringing about significant changes and transformations in social institutions. The institution most affected by these transformations is the educational institution. This situation increases the importance of quality assurance and accreditation practices in higher education institutions. This study aims to examine studies on accreditation in higher education using bibliometric analysis methods based on publications scanned in the Web of Science (WoS). Within the scope of the study, studies published in the WoS database until the end of 2025 were searched. A total of 171 studies of the “article” type containing the phrase (TI=(“accredit*” )) AND TI=(“higher education” ) in the title field were analyzed. Microsoft Excel was used for the analysis of descriptive characteristics, and VOSviewer software was used for data visualization. The analysis revealed that the first study was published in 1982. Therefore, the study covers the period between 1982 and 2025. According to the analysis results, a significant increase in the number of studies and citations on accreditation in higher education has been observed in recent years. It was determined that the majority of the studies were concentrated in the field of educational sciences, the most productive journal was “Quality in Higher Education,” and the US was in a leading position globally. It was observed that studies originating from Turkey are quite limited and lack connectivity within the international collaboration network. Researchers were found to focus on the concepts of “accreditation,” “higher education,” “quality assurance,” and “evaluation.” The results obtained contribute to understanding the scope and trends of studies on accreditation in higher education and aim to serve as a guide for future studies. The limitation of this study is that the search was conducted exclusively in the WoS database.
