The achievements in the field of education and culture are the vital means for the continuity of any states and the upbringing of generations to sustain these states. Therefore, each state has its own educational and cultural policies. Cultural values when supported by education serve as cement that hold the individuals who form the nation and provide a sense of unity and solidarity.
The Republic of Turkey, founded on the heritage of the Ottoman Empire, has created new educational and cultural institutions and has developed new policies in order to solve the problems that caused the breakdown of the Ottoman state, educate next generation and maintain the republic.
It is accepted that the independence war took place in three stages. The first stage was to expel the enemy from the country. This goal was achieved through armed struggle. The second stage was full independence of the country. This objective was achieved by the abolition of capitulations in all areas through Treaty of Lausanne. The third stage was to become a nation state, modern and developed country. It has been necessary to make progress in the field of education and culture in order to be successful in this last stage.
During this period, the Caliphate was abolished and the law on unification of education was introduced. In addition to that very difficult revolutions were made in different areas of social life including the alphabet, clothing, calendar, numbers and measurement. Some law introduced in the field of art and economy and also in order to realise equality of women and men.
Atatürk and the statesmen of the period organized nationwide trips to teach and help the people adopt the new reforms. Some crucial institutions were also established in this period including National Schools, Community Centres, the Turkish Language Society and the Turkish Historical Society.

Due to the improvements in medicine and feeding opportunities, the average life expectancy of people has increased and the population growth rate has exploded. The world population exceeds 7 billion. The doubling time of population is also shorter.
These developments in the population have raised concerns about the relationship between population and nutrition. Scientists are concerned about the danger of hunger. There are two remedies for this. First is to control the rate of population growth and second is to increase agricultural productivity. Agriculture also has other vital functions, not only to provide people with nutrients, but also to feed animals, provide raw materials for industry, employment and reduce dependence on other countries.
Countries are working hard to increase the yield from the unit area in their agricultural land and applying some methods such as irrigation, pest control, seed breeding, fertilizing more than one crop per year. Fertilization is one of the important methods of increasing agricultural productivity. While fertilization is increasing agricultural productivity, used fertilizers cause environmenta lproblems such as soil and water pollution. Fertilizers also cause a significant cost for farmers. At this point organic fertilizer is an important alternative.
Gönen Biogas Plants, established in Gönen in 2014, evaluates many wastes in Gönen and its surroundings and converts them into biomass energy. As a result this process, 15 thousand tons of dry fertilizer, 10 thousand tons of manureand 10 thousand tons of humic are produced annually. With the use of organic fertilizers obtained as a result of the elimination of environmental pollutants in agriculture, environmental pollution caused by chemical fertilizers is prevented. Also agricultural productivity is being increased. The facility provides 75% of its annual turn over from organic fertilizer production and marketing activities.

CULTURAL ANALYSIS ON THE APPEARANCE OF THE FEMININE SOIL PERCEPTION IN ANATOLIAN REGIONAL MUSIC BY MEANS OF ANCIENT DATA

The aim of this study is to analyze in cultural context the appearance of “feminine soil perception“ in Anatolian Regional Music. The Anatolian lands, which connect to many different civilizations due to their geographical location, in spite of the cultural tracks of their different civilizations, exhibit an ancient structure in which the “mother figure” is extremely dominant in its antiquity. This geography takes its name from the mother Goddesses, “Anatolia” (Anadolu) means full of mother or mother Goddesses.
This religious-cultural dominance of “mother motif” in Anatolia has been decisive in all aspects. It is possible to read culturally the dominance of the “mother motif” of concrete and intangible cultural products. This cultural structure, which came from ancient times is a product of a transculture, transreligious and transdenominational strong collective memory for the people of Anatolia.
Therefore, music, which is the most intangible of intangible cultural products, is one of the cultural products in which the “mother motif” gains visibility. In this study, soil perception in Anatolian sufism will be analysed based on the ancient data of Anatolia; different lyrics of Turkish Regional Music, especially lyrics of Aşık Veysel Şatıroğlu -Famous Anatolian Bard- sample will be analysed.
In this study, Mother Goddesses will be discussed in chronological order for finding the historical collective memory; then, the cultural impact of “mother cult” on Anatolian Civilizations will be discussed with examples in terms of concrete and intangible cultural products. Than, it will be emphasized how these historical traces take place in the contemporary Anatolian Sufism and cultural elements. Finally, the cultural analysis of feminine soil perception in Turkish Regional Music lyrics, especially in Aşık Veysel Şatıroğlu’s and other bards’ songs lyrics will be done and the study will be finalized.

This study covers the ideas of the individual about the modern society, the relations of the modern society with the individual, the effects of the capitalist system on the individual and the society, and the sociological analyzes on these thoughts in the story of the ‘Hunger Artist’. In this study, it is concluded that Kafka's story reveals that people's interests and needs are constantly changing in the capitalist system because, in the story of the ‘Hunger Artist’, it was seen that the interest in this art decreased in a short time. In this work, this art is performed in a circus environment. The last example of this is the circus performances. In 2017, the most famous circus organization in the USA, Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey, closed. The main reason for the closure of this circus company is the change of public understanding of entertainment. Other circus organizations in various countries of the world are expected to close as well. At the end of the study, it was understood that Kafka had the idea that even the tendencies known as personal tastes and tastes in the capitalist system were changing rapidly and could not go beyond being the fashion of the period.

The literary quality of a text depends on its fiction. This is closely related to Aristotle's concepts of “mimesis” (reflection) and “katharsis” (purification). Because, the real life event or situation is presented in an aesthetic way by being re-handled with the elements of fiction in the fictional world. Thus, it is ensured that the reader travels through this fictional world and finally reaches the meaning of the text. Therefore, the author selects the material of the fiction from the outside world, but expresses it in the inner world of the work from his own point of view. While the story itself reflects people who live in a certain way, it is actually the fact of life that is pointed out. In this study, Orhan Hançerlioğlu's "Toprak" story is discussed in terms of the transformation of factual reality into fictional reality in the literary work and the production process of the text is tried to be put forward.

The Ottoman Empire was suffering from combat fatigue and poverty after Balkan Wars and found itself involved in World War One as a result of politique de faite accomplie (accomplished fact) and consequently, fell back upon various methods to finance the said war. Accordingly the Empire began to issue banknotes as of April 1915 and was forced to borrow an immense amount of loan from Germany in exchange for the circulated banknotes. In 1918, while the war was still on, banknotes in circulation reached the saturation point and Germany was reluctant to loan money to Ottoman Government anymore. As a result, the Ottoman Empire was forced to turned towards the savings of the large mass of people. The Ottoman Government enacted a law on April 3rd, 1918 and called upon 20-year term long term loan at 5% interest. The Ottoman Empire tried to convince the people to purchase bonds by all available propaganda methods never used until that day in order to prompt the people to loan. This study will address the reflections of internal borrowing policy implemented at the time, on Tercümân-ı Hakikat, Sabah and Vakit which are the outstanding newspapers of the period.

In the earlier stages, the war culture is predicated on patriotism and the glory of dying in the battle. British poets Rupert Brooke and Rudyard Kipling employed their unique voice in their poetry as an instrument of war propaganda to manipulate the society. The poem “The Soldier” (1914) by Brooke carries the idea of how divine it is to fight for the motherland or how people will be rewarded after they die in the war. Similarly, Rudyard Kipling calls soldiers to fight, focuses on the destructiveness of the enemy and create the sense of that England need to protect itself from this devastating enemy in his poem “For All We Have and Are”(1914). This study aims to analyse how both poets employ war propaganda in disguise of fighting for the nation, while they hide the dark consequences of the war in the background of their poetry.

The alliance between posthumanism and technology has opened a way for feminist critics to perceive embodiment not as a biological determinant essentialising the human body as natural and organic, but rather as the intertwinement of intelligent machines and humans. By highlighting Deleuze and Guattari’s concept of the rhizome and Haraway’s notion of the cyborg to bear upon Jeanette Winterson’s novel The PowerBook (2000), this paper aims to demonstrate how the text deals with the notion of the human, alongside practices of embodiment central to the organisation of gendered and sexed identities. The writer’s use of cyberspace depicts a posthumanist world, where the boundaries of physical and non-physical worlds become blurred. Likewise, the protagonist, Ali/Alix, is represented as a posthuman subject, whose body becomes a plane of immanence, by being in a state of constant flux. With the destabilization of any essentialist perception of the human body, it argues that the novel refuses any demarcation between human/non-human, nature/culture, male/female, gender/sex, real/virtual or organism/machine.

Today, the issue of decision making in multi-criteria structures is of great importan-ce. University selection in particular is a comprehensive example with many criteria included in this topic. The preference period that students face after they take the university exam is a period in which anxiety levels and stress levels are high. This process requires a thorough investigation of many existing criteria, including not only the students but also their families and advisors. Throughout the country; " how good is the quality of education already in progress, is the education provided sufficient, is the curriculum up to date?"such questions preoccupy the heads of pa-rents, students and faculty members. This study aimed to produce a result by taking into account the criteria that the students are looking for during the process of ma-king decisions in the current education system and evaluating which of these crite-ria they prefer first. Within the scope of this aim, the most preferred state and foun-dation universities were considered and the social and sports activities they provi-ded to the students, the suggestions of family and friends, department and job op-portunities, the prestige of the University members, the reputation of the University were evaluated. 100 people participated in the research, according to the selected cir-teria from Andriani Kusumawati's study called Understanding Student Choice Cri-teria for Selecting an Indonesian Public University: a Conjoint Analysis Approach. This research has a guiding nature in determining the University's position in the selection order of factors such as having good faculty members and having laborato-ries for students to use.

Jehovah's witnesses are one of the most influential missionary organizations in the world. The concept of Jehovah is a misused use derived from the word “Yahweh” used for God in the Bible. "You are my witnesses," he says, " Isaiah 43:10. The founder of Jehovah's testimony is Charles Yeni Russel (1852-1916). Russell claimed in 1914 that Christ would establish the kingdom of God. Second president of the movement. F. Rutherford (1869-1942) changed the Russian name to "Jehovah Witnesses". The creed of Jehovah's witnesses is the Bible. Their gods are God Jehova. Unique. Jesus is his son and his representative in the world. The beliefs of the hereafter will continue in the world after death. The witnesses will be saved and the rest will be destroyed. They don't accept anything National. They only accept the sacrament of Baptism and Evharism. Missionary activities in Turkey generally consist of psychological procedures and instructions. In this study, the priority is to introduce the Jehovah Witnesses and inform them about their missionary activities through Antalya as a city.
