The isnād system which is used to check the reliability of mutūn that transmitted by Prophet has an extend of the importance in the science of hadīth. It is obvious that isnād is the first level in the evaluation of ahadīth and islamic scholar focused on this meticulounessly. In the present work, Fazlurrahman’s criterias used during evaluation of ahadīth are analysed. Firstly, the chains of transmission of ahadīth in Fazlurrahman’s Islamic Methodology in History are analysed and their reliability is evaluated according to classical hadīth scholarship. In final of this, the criticism of Fazlurrahman that evaluated by own criteria are compared with the results mentioned above. As a result, a favourable result about almost all of them is emerged but it is seen that Fazlurrahman's evaluations about ahadīth by using own criteria are unfavourable.
