Abstract

Classical Turkish literature, especially after the XVI. century, it was established a literary tradition in which meaning and aesthetics were important and even the meaning of speech was prevented. Bâkî, who is one of the most important poets of XVI. century classical Turkish literature, is a poet who has paid great attention to voice, utterance and style in his poems. Bâkî's style of poetry is mostly ornamented and has an aesthetic structure. His poems, in which the use of rhythm and harmony were very successful, reveal that Bâkî was a voice and utterance poet. One of the characteristics that Bâkî’s poems frequently refers to in his poems is the technique of starting with a striking style and remarkable expression to the poem known as ”berâat-i istihlâl. In the poems which are taken into consideration in the Bâkî’s Dîvan which is examined in this attention, it is seen that the eloquence of the traditional Ottoman poetry and the poetry language started with the entries that can set an example for the art of berâat-i istihlâl. The methods used by Bâkî in order to create the art of the berâat-i istilâl in the matla couplets, the use of the calligraphy (nidâ) prepositions, which can be called the prepositions of the sentence, the selection of the sounds in a harmony, that is alliteration (consonant repetition) and asonans (famous repetition) applications the choice of words (tenasüp, iham, leff ü nasşr), the questioning technique (hoax), predicate-free syntax is created with the name sentences. In this study, it will be examined how and by what methods the art berâat-i istihlâl art is used in the poems of Bâkî’s Turkish Divan.
