Türk Edebiyatında Unutulmuş Bir Yazar: Seyfettin Turhan ve İdeal İnsanın Peşine Düşen Romanı: Tanrı Müjdecisi

Abstract
Seyfettin Turhan, Türk edebiyatının unutulmuş öykü ve roman yazarlarından biridir. Yazın hayatına öykü ile başlayan Turhan, 1948 yılında Tanrı Müjdecisi isimli ilk ve tek romanını yayımlamıştır. Köy romanı akımına yakınlık duyan yazar, Tanrı Müjdecisi’ni bu doğrultuda kaleme almıştır. Bir köy romanı örneği olduğu tespit edilen söz konusu eserde, köy ve köylü anlatılmış olsa da ağırlıklı olarak “ideal insan tipi” üzerinde durulmuş olması eseri ilgi çekici kılmaktadır. Yazarın, böyle bir konuyu romanın merkezi hâline getirmesinin ardında II. Dünya Savaşı’nın birey ve toplum üzerinde yarattığı psikolojinin izleri vardır. Romanın aktüel zamanı 1920’lerin sonu 1940’ların başı olduğundan yazar, II. Dünya Savaşı’nı ve beraberinde insanlığın içine düştüğü buhranı gözler önüne serer. Bu yazıda öncelikle hakkındaki bilgiler oldukça kısıtlı olan Seyfettin Turhan’ın hayatı ele alınmış ve bilindik bir eser olmadığı düşünüldüğü için Tanrı Müjdecisi romanının olay örgüsüne yer verilmiştir. Sonrasında romanda ön plana çıkan idealizmin kavramsal boyutuna değinilmiş; eserdeki idealist yaklaşım bireysel ve toplumsal açılardan değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract
Seyfettin Turhan is one of the forgotten story and novel writers of Turkish literature. Turhan, who started his literary life with a short story, published his first and only novel titled The Gospel of God, in 1948. The author, who is close to the village novel movement, wrote the Gospel of God in this direction. In the work in question, which is determined to be an example of a village novel, although the village and the villager are described, the emphasis is mainly on the "ideal human type", makes the work interesting. Behind the author's making such a subject the center of the novel, there are traces of the psychology created by the II. World War on the individual and society. Since the actual time of the novel is the late 1920s and the beginning of the 1940s, the author reveals the II. World War and the depression that humanity fell into. In this article, first of all, Seyfettin Turhan's life, whose information is very limited, is discussed and the plot of the novel The Gospel of God is included, since it is thought that it is not a known work. Afterwards, the conceptual dimension of idealism that came to the fore in the novel was mentioned, the idealist approach in the work has been evaluated from individual and social perspectives.
