Abstract
Bu çalışma, popüler televizyon dizisi Fleabag’in sunduğu özgün dil üzerinden, yaşam deneyimlerinin bir parçası olan travmatik deneyimlerde ve modern toplumsal yaşamın beklentileriyle yaşanan çatışmalarda mizahın rolünü ele almaktadır. Felsefe ve psikoloji disiplinlerinin araştırma konusu olmuş mizahın, içsel iyilik halini sağlama ve karşılaşılan uyumsuzluklar ile baş edebilmede bireye sağladığı yarar, komedi türünde temsil imkânı bulmaktadır. Bu temsili, mizaha üç temel yaklaşımdan biri olan uyumsuzluk teorisi ve bireysel farklılıklara vurgu yapan mizah stillerinden “kendini yıkıcı mizah” ile ortaya koymayı amaçlayan çalışmada; genç bir kadının gözünden cinsellik, ikili ilişkiler, toplumsal beklentileri ele alan çok katmanlı yapı betimsel olarak analiz edilmektedir. Yapımın kara-absürt mizahı, bilhassa karakter yaratımları aracılığıyla geliştirilen gülmeye ilişkin sorgulamaları ortaya koymada elverişli bir karakter taşırken, komedi türünde eğlenceden uzaklaşarak rahatsız ediciliğe yaklaşan güncel “cringe comedy” eğilimini de örneklendirmektedir. Hem komik öznenin yaratımı, eylem ve diyaloglar gibi anlatı unsurlarının hem de izleyicinin özdeşim kurmasına yönelik kasıtlı engeller oluşturan kameraya bakma, izleyiciyle diyalog gibi biçimsel tercihlerin mizahla ilişkiselliği kapsamlı olarak ele alınmıştır. Araştırma sonucuna göre, Fleabag dizisinin komik özneyi duygusal geçişler arasında tanımladığı ve bu kurulumu üç temada yapılandırdığı görülmektedir. Öznenin yaşamı mizahi bir perspektifle deneyimlediği bu alanlar, hikâyeye yönelik trajik olaylar ve gündelik yaşamı; anlatıya yönelik ise özdeşsizlik kurulumunu öne çıkardığı alanlardır.

Abstract
This study deals with the role of humor in traumatic experiences that are a part of life experiences and in conflicts with the expectations of modern social life, through the unique language offered by the popular television series Fleabag. The benefits of humor, which has been the subject of research in the disciplines of philosophy and psychology, to the individual in ensuring inner well-being and coping with the incompatibilities encountered, find the opportunity to be represented in the comedy genre. In the study, which aims to reveal this representation with the incongruity theory, one of the three basic approaches to humor and "self-defeating humor", one of the humor styles that emphasize individual differences; the multi-layered structure dealing with sexuality, bilateral relations, social expectations from the perspective of a young woman will be analyzed descriptively. While the black-absurd humor of the production is particularly suitable for revealing questions about laughter developed through character creations, it also exemplifies the current “cringe comedy” tendency in the comedy genre, which moves away from entertainment and approaches disturbing. In addition to narrative elements such as actions and dialogues, the creation of the comic subject, formal preferences such as looking at the camera and dialogue with the audience, which prevent audience identification, have also been discussed comprehensively in the context of their relationship with humor. According to the research findings, it is observed that the television series Fleabag defines its comedic subject amidst emotional transitions and accomplishes this through three themes. These areas, where the subject experiences life with a comedic perspective, encompass tragic events and everyday life; regarding narrative, they highlight the establishment of alienation.
