Felsefe Öğretimi Açısından Terimlerin Şiirle Örneklendirilmesi Üzerine: Felsefî Meslekler Vokabüleri (1932) Örneği

Abstract
Felsefe sözlükleri, felsefe terimlerinin anlam dünyasının anlaşılır kılınması ve felsefi terminolojinin gelişip yerleşmesi konusunda büyük öneme sahiptir. Buna bağlı olarak bir felsefe sözlüğünün felsefe öğrenenler için terimlerin anlamını kolaylaştırıcı ve terimleri daha öğrenilir duruma getiren yardımcı bir araç olduğu söylenebilir. Söz konusu bu işlevin belirginleşebilmesi için herhangi bir sözlüğün terimleri nasıl tanıttığının ya da açıkladığının belirleyici olduğu ifade edilebilir. Bu bağlamda, felsefe sözlüklerinde kullanılan ifade diline gereken özenin gösterilmesi dışında zaman zaman terimlerin daha anlaşılır kılınması adına örneklendirilerek açıklanmasının, ilgili terimlerin felsefe öğrenenler tarafından içselleştirilebilmesinin önünü açma potansiyeline sahip olduğu düşünülebilir. Bu makalede de bu tarz bir girişim olarak nitelendirilebilecek olan, Türkiye’de Cumhuriyet sonrasında bilinen Latin harfli ilk felsefe sözlüğü olan Felsefî Meslekler Vokabüleri’nde terimlerin şiirler ile nasıl örneklendirilerek açıklanmak istendiği incelenmiştir. Bu çerçevede bu sözlükte yer alan on beş terim için tercih edilen bu yöntemin ne derecede gerçekleştiğinin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bir bakıma şiirlerin ilgili terimi örneklendirip örneklendiremediği tartışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak sözlükte kullanılan şiirlerin yalnızca şekilsel anlamda bir benzerlikten çok daha öte, felsefi bağlam açısından da birkaç istisna örnek dışında ilgili terimi destekleyici ve örneklendirici özellikte olduğu saptanmıştır. Buna göre, felsefenin soyut yapısının şiir gibi yardımcı bir araç yoluyla somutlaştırıldığı görülmüştür. Dolayısıyla yazıldığı dönem ve felsefe sözlüklerinin amaç ve işlevleri açısından bu durumun felsefe öğretimi için büyük bir adım olduğu düşüncesine ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract
Philosophy vocabulary is of great importance in terms of making the meaning world of philosophical terms understandable and making them developing and setting in. Accordingly, it is likely to say that a philosophy dictionary is a supporting tool facilitating and turning the philosophical terms more learnable for the philosophy learners in a way. In order that this function becomes more clarified, how a dictionary introduces or explains terms is a real determinant. In this sense, it is likely to think that besides the need to take care of the language of expressing philosophical words, it is of a potential that explaining the terms by exemplifying them for the sake of making them understandable would guide the internalization of these terms by philosophy learners. In the current study, how the term in dictionary Felsefî Meslekler Vokabüleri, which is known to be the first philosophy vocabulary with Latin letters after the Republic in Turkey likely to be qualified as such an attempt, was tended to be explained through poetry was investigated. In this sense, it was aimed to determine to what extent this method that was preferred for the fifteen terms in this dictionary was realized. Whether the poetry could exemplify the related term was discussed. As a conclusion, it was found that the poems used in the dictionary, much beyond just the formal similarity, were of supportive and exemplifying features with a few exceptions in terms of philosophical context. Accordingly, it was observed that the abstract structure of philosophy was embodied by means of a supportive tool like poetry. Therefore, it was found that this case is a big step for philosophy teaching in terms of the period it was written and of its objectives and functions.
