6 Şubat Depremleri Sonrasında Eğitim ve Öğretim Alanında Afet ile İlgili Lisansüstü Tezlerin Genel Görünümü

Abstract
6 Şubat 2023 tarihinde Kahramanmaraş merkezli depremlerde binlerce insan yaşamı yitirmiştir. Bu araştırmada yaşanılan bu depremlerin tez çalışmalarına etkisini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmanın amacı, 2023 yılı ve sonrasında eğitim ve öğretim alanında afet ile ilgili yazılan tezlerin incelenmesidir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya dahil edilecek afet ile ilgili tez çalışmalarını belirlemek için Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanı kullanılmıştır. Afet ile ilgili tez çalışmalarına 21 Ocak 2025 tarihinde ulaşılmıştır. Tez tarama alanına “afet‟, konu alanına “eğitim ve öğretim” kelimesi yazılıp, tarih aralığı 2023 ile 2025 seçilerek ulaşılan 61 tez çalışması örnekleme dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırmada incelenen tezler; yazıldığı yıla, türüne, üniversitesine, bilim dalına, çalışma grubuna ve çalışma konusuna göre analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre 2023 yılında 17, 2024 yılında 44 tezin yayınlandığı tespit edilmiştir. 60 tezin yüksek lisans, 1 tezin doktora düzeyinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. En fazla tez çalışması Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi tarafından yayınlanmıştır ve bu durum Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesinde Afet Eğitimi ve Yönetimi lisansüstü bölümünün olmasından kaynaklanmaktadır. İncelenen tezlerin çalışma gurubunu en fazla öğrencilerin, öğretmenlerin ve öğretmen adaylarının oluşturduğu az sayıda da olsa velilerin, okul yöneticilerinin, AFAD gönüllülerinin ve personellerinin, engelli bireyler ile ailelerinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tezlerin çalışma konusunu en fazla afet yönetimi, afet bilinci, afet eğitimi, afet okuryazarlığı, afet kavramı üzerine olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çizgi filmlerde doğal afet, STEM temelli afet eğitimi, afet sonrası ikincil afet farkındalığı, artırılmış gerçeklik uygulamaları ile afet eğitimi, müze eğitimi ile afet bilinci oluşturma, GEMS tabanlı afet eğitimi, video-drama ile deprem eğitimi gibi farklı konularda da afet ile ilgili çalışmaların yapıldığı saptanmıştır. 6 Şubat 2023 Kahramanmaraş merkezli depremler sonrasında afet ile ilgili tez çalışmalarının sayısında oldukça artış olduğu, deprem bölgesinde yer alan Adıyaman, Dicle, Gaziantep, Harran, Hatay Mustafa Kemal, Kilis 7 Aralık, Osmaniye Korkut Ata üniversitesileri tarafından eğitim ve öğretim alanında afet ile ilgili tez çalışmalarının yayınlanmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract
Thousands of people lost their lives in the earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023. This research aims to reveal the effects of these earthquakes on thesis studies. The aim of the research is to examine theses written about disaster in the field of education and training in 2023 and after. The document review method, one of the qualitative research designs, was used in the research. The National Thesis Center database of the Council of Higher Education was used to determine the theses studies related to disaster to be included in the research. The theses studies related to disaster were reached on January 21, 2025. 61 theses studies were included in the sample by writing the word “disaster” in the thesis search field, “education and training” in the subject field, and selecting the date range between 2023 and 2025. The theses examined in the research were analyzed according to the year they were written, type, university, branch of science, study group and study subject. According to the research findings, it was determined that 17 theses were published in 2023 and 44 theses were published in 2024. It was determined that 60 theses were at the master's level and 1 thesis was at the doctorate level. The highest number of theses was published by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University and this is due to the fact that Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University has a postgraduate program in Disaster Education and Management. It was determined that the working group of the examined theses consisted mostly of students, teachers and teacher candidates, and a small number of parents, school administrators, AFAD volunteers and personnel, disabled individuals and their families. It was determined that the study subjects of the theses were mostly on disaster management, disaster awareness, disaster education, disaster literacy, and the concept of disaster. It was determined that studies on disaster were also conducted on different topics such as natural disasters in cartoons, STEM-based disaster education, secondary disaster awareness after disasters, disaster education with augmented reality applications, creating disaster awareness with museum education, GEMS-based disaster education, and earthquake education with video-drama. It has been concluded that there has been a significant increase in the number of theses on disasters after the February 6, 2023 Kahramanmaraş centered earthquakes, and that no theses on disasters have been published in the field of education and training by Adıyaman, Dicle, Gaziantep, Harran, Hatay Mustafa Kemal, Kilis 7 December, and Osmaniye Korkut Ata Universities located in the earthquake region.
