Abstract
Bu makalede yazın türlerinden öyküde bir anlatı şekli olan “fantastik” olgusu biçembilim diğer bir deyişle deyişbilim (silistik) ve sözbilim (retorik) çerçevesinde incelenecektir. Kelime kökeni Fransızca olan ve olağandışı ya da olağanüstü, sıradışı, şaşırtıcı anlamlarına gelen “fantastik” bir edebî anlatı ve yazı olarak özellikle Fransız Edebiyatında önemli bir yeri vardır. Fantastik yazınında yazar, düşü, olağanüstü olanı, gizemi ve kurguyu kullanmak suretiyle hikâyesini gerçeğin dışına çıkarak anlatmayı amaçlar. Bu betimsel yaklaşımdan hareketle, biz bu çalışmada 19. Yüzyıl Fransız Edebiyatına mensup klasik yazarlardan Guy de Maupassant’ın (1876) “Contes au fil de l’eau” (Su gibi akan öyküler) başlıklı eserinde yer alan “Sur l’eau” (Suyun yüzeyinde) başlıklı öyküde fantastik anlatıma ait yazınsal ve biçemsel unsurlar mercek altına alınıp incelenecektir. Çalışmanın başlıca amacı şu sorgulamaları ortaya koyup yanıt bulmaya çalışmaktır: 1. Edebiyatta fantastik nedir, ne işe yarar? 2. Yazar kurmaca öyküsünde fantastik yazınını kullanırken neyi amaçlar? 3. Fantastik olguları kullanırken okura nasıl bir mesaj vermek ister? Bu öyküden seçilecek somut örneklerin anlatısal derin yapılarını incelerken Tzvetan Todorov ve Henri Benac gibi sözbilim ve deyişbilimcilerin fantastik olgusu üzerine oluşturdukları kuram ve yaklaşımlardan yararlanılacaktır. Bu çalışma sayesinde bir yandan Fransız Edebiyatında deyişbilim ve sözbilim alanlarına katkı sunmayı, diğer yandan da yazarın fantastik yolculuğunda kullanmış olduğu dilin kuruluşunu, anlatım ve anlatının estetiğini keşfetmeyi umuyoruz.

Abstract
In this article, the phenomenon of “fantasy”, which is a narrative form in the story as an literary genre, will be examined within the framework of stylistics, and rhetorics. The word “fantasy”, which has French roots and means supernatural or extraordinary, surprising, has an important place especially in French Literature as a literary narrative and writing. In fantasy literature, the author aims to tell his story by going beyond reality by using dreams, the extraordinary, mystery and fiction. Based on this descriptive approach, in this study, the literary and stylistic elements of fantastic narration in the story titled “Sur l’eau” (On the Surface of the Water) from the work titled “Contes au fil de l’eau” (Stories Flowing Like Water) by Guy de Maupassant (1876), one of the classic writers of 19th century French literature, will be examined and scrutinized. The main purpose of the study is to put forward the following questions and try to find answers: 1. What is fantastic in literature and what is its purpose? 2. What is the author’s aim when using fantastic literature in his fictional story? 3. What kind of message does he want to give to the reader when using fantastic facts? While examining the deep narrative structures of the concrete examples to be selected from this story, the theories and approaches created by rhetoricians and stylists such as Tzvetan Todorov and Henri Benac on the phenomenon of the fantastic will be utilized. Through this study, we hope to contribute to the fields of stylistics and rhetorics in French literature on the one hand, and to discover the establishment of the language used by the author in his fantastic journey, and the aesthetics of his narration.
