Abstract
Günlük hayatın her aşamasında rastladığımız muhalefet olgusu siyaset bilimi için ayrı bir önem taşımaktadır. Zira muhalefet, kavram olarak siyaset bilimi için önemli bir çalışma alanı teşkil etmektedir. Bu sebeple de siyaset bilimi yönüyle muhalefet, siyasal muhalefet şeklinde değerlendirilmektedir.
Genel itibariyle muhalefet tüm iktidarlara ya da erklere bir antitez olarak ele alınmaktadır. Siyasal muhalefet ise siyasal iktidara bir karşı duruş olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Siyasal iktidara bu karşı duruşun ayakta kalabilmesi amacıyla da siyasal sistemde muhakkak bir demokrasinin varlığı mevcut olmalıdır. Çünkü muhalefetten bahsedilmeyen bir demokrasinin tam anlamıyla bir demokrasi olmadığı kabul edilmektedir. Bu sebeple de demokrasinin konsolide olabilmesi için muhakkak iktidarın karşısında bir muhalefet odağı bulunmalıdır.
Çalışmada muhalefet, kavramsal olarak siyaset bilimi yönüyle incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda detaylı bir siyasal muhalefet analizi yapılmıştır. Siyasal muhalefetin farklı ayrımları ve temel karakteristiği çalışmanın inceleme konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma siyasal muhalefetin kavramsal analizine ve teorik çerçevesine yoğunlaştığından literatür taraması neticesinde edinilen bilgiler betimsel yöntem kullanılarak açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.

Abstract
The phenomenon of opposition, which we encounter at every stage of daily life, is of particular importance for political science. Because opposition as a concept constitutes an important field of study in political science. For this reason, opposition in terms of political science is evaluated as political opposition. In general, opposition has emerged as an antithesis to all powers or powers. Political opposition is considered as a stance against political power. In order for this opposition to political power to survive, there must be a democracy in the political system. It is assumed that a democracy without opposition would not be a complete democracy. Therefore, for the consolidation of democracy, there must be an opposition to the government.In this study, the concept of opposition is analyzed from a political science perspective. In this context, a detailed analysis of political opposition has been made. Different distinctions and basic characteristics of political opposition constitute the subject of the study. Since the study focuses on the conceptual analysis and theoretical framework of political opposition, the data obtained as a result of the literature review were tried to be explained using the descriptive method.
