Üretici Dönüşümsel Dil Bilimine Dayalı Etkinliklerin Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Öğrenenlerin Doğru Cümle Yazma Becerilerine Etkisi

Abstract
Öz: Bu araştırmada, üretici dönüşümsel dil bilimine dayalı etkinliklerin (ÜDDDE’lerin) yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenenlerin doğru cümle yazma becerileri üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nicel ve nitel verilerin birlikte ele alındığı araştırma, karma yöntem yaklaşımıyla yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın nicel boyutunda ön test-son test kontrol gruplu eşleştirilmemiş yarı deneysel desen, nitel boyutunda ise durum çalışması deseni benimsenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Nişantaşı Üniversitesi ve Gaziantep Üniversitesi Türkçe Öğretimi Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezlerinde B2 düzeyinde yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenen öğrenciler oluşturmuştur. Araştırma, her iki merkezde deney ve kontrol gruplarının her birinde 16 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 64 katılımcıyla yürütülmüştür. Nicel veriler Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Cümle Yazma Başarı Testi, nitel veriler ise yarı yapılandırılmış gözlem ve görüşme formları aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Nicel verilerin çözümlenmesinde bağımlı örneklemler t-testi, bağımsız örneklemler t-testi ve karışık ölçümler için iki faktörlü ANOVA kullanılırken nitel veriler betimsel analiz yoluyla incelenmiştir. Nicel bulgular, deney grubundaki öğrencilerin doğru cümle yazma başarılarının kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Nitel bulgular ise etkinliklerin öğrencilerin yazma motivasyonlarını ve öz yeterlik algılarını artırdığını, yazma kaygılarını azalttığını ve söz varlıklarını geliştirdiğini; bunun yanı sıra okuduğunu anlama, dil bilgisi öğretimi ve sınıf yönetimi süreçlerini olumlu yönde desteklediğini göstermiştir. Araştırmada ÜDDDE’lerin, yabancı dil olarak Türkçe doğru cümle yazma öğretiminde etkili bir yaklaşım olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of activities based on generative linguistics on the ability of learners of Turkish as a foreign language to write correct sentences. The study, which analyzed both quantitative and qualitative data, was conducted using a mixed-methods approach. A pre-test-post-test control group, non-matched quasi-experimental design was adopted for the quantitative dimension of the study, while a case study design was adopted for the qualitative dimension. The study group consisted of students learning Turkish as a foreign language at the B2 level at the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Centers of Nişantaşı University and Gaziantep University. The study was conducted with a total of 64 participants-16 students in both the experimental and control groups at each center. Quantitative data were collected using the Turkish as a Foreign Language Sentence Writing Achievement Test, while qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured observation and interview forms. Quantitative data were analyzed using the t-test for dependent samples, the t-test for independent samples, and two-way ANOVA for mixed measures, while qualitative data were examined through descriptive analysis. The quantitative findings revealed that the students in the experimental group had significantly higher sentence-writing proficiency than those in the control group. Qualitative findings, on the other hand, showed that the activities increased students’ writing motivation and self-efficacy, reduced their writing anxiety, and expanded their vocabulary; furthermore, they positively supported the processes of reading comprehension, grammar instruction, and classroom management. The study concluded that activities based on generative transformational linguistics constitute an effective approach for teaching students to write correct sentences in Turkish as a foreign language.
