Abstract
1960'lı yıllarda ortaya çıkan metal müzik, Blues ve Rock’n Roll türlerini temel almaktadır. Kalın, yüksek ve distortion seslere sahiptir. Metal müzik; Blues, Rock’n Roll ve Rock müzikten sonra gelişen bir tür olarak bilinmektedir. Metal müziğin köklerinin Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin ve Deep Purple gibi grupların 1960’larda yarattığı “heavy” olarak bilinen yüksek sesli ve sert gitar tınılı Rock türüne dayandığı bilinmektedir. 1970’de yayılmaya başlayan metal müzik Nazareth, Rush ve Rainbow gibi gruplar sayesinde 1980’lerde zirveye tırmanmıştır. Metal müzikte yüksek gürültülü gitarlar, vurgulu ritim, baskın bass ve davul sesinin yanında mutlaka bir vokal bulunmaktadır. Elektrogitar metal müziğin temelini oluşturmaktadır. Şarkının bir bölümünde sıklıkla yer alan solo gitar, müzikal anlamda bir heyecan yaratmakta ve dinleyicinin coşkusunu arttıran önemli bir unsur olmaktadır. Şarkı sözlerinde daha çok isyan ve başkaldırış yer almaktadır. Metal müzik kültürü; sahne şovları ilginç makyajları ve aksesuarlarıyla giyim modasını da etkisi altına almıştır. Bu araştırmada metal müziğin temasına, gelişimine ve metal müzik türlerine kısaca değinilmiş, metal müzik kültürünün giyim modasına etkileri dünyaca ünlü tasarımcıların koleksiyon görselleri ile desteklenerek irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca yapılan araştırmalar doğrultusunda metal müzik kültüründen esinlenilerek oluşturulmuş özgün tasarımlara da yer verilmiştir.

Abstract
Metal music, which emerged in the 1960s, is based on the genres of Blues and Rock and Roll. It has deep, loud and distortion voices. Metal music is known as a genre that develops after Blues, Rock and Roll and Rock music. The roots of Metal music are known to be based on the loud and hard guitar chord rock genre known as “heavy”, which created in the 1960s by the bands such as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. Metal music, which began to spread in 1970, peaked in the 1980s thanks to bands such as Nazareth, Rush and Rainbow. Metal music features loud guitars, beat, dominant bass, and a vocal alongside a drum sound. Electrogitar forms the basis of metal music. The solo guitar, which is often included in part of the song, creates excitement in a musical sense and it is an important element that increases the enthusiasm of the listener. The lyrics include more revolt and rebelling. Metal music culture has also influenced clothing fashion with its stage shows and interesting makeup and accessories. In this study, the theme of metal music, its development and metal music genres were briefly mentioned, and the effects of metal Music Culture on clothing fashion were tried to be examined by supporting images belonging to the collections of world-famous designers. In addition, according to the research, original designs inspired by metal music culture were included.
