Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, fen bilimlerinde görülen kavram yanılgılarına sebep olan etkenleri tartışmaktır. Çalışma, bir doküman incelemesidir. Çalışmada kavram yanılgılarıyla ilgili gerçekleştirilen ve yayınlanan çalışmaların dokümanları, betimsel analiz yaklaşımına göre incelenmiştir. Fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin öğrencilerin her konuda ön fikirleri olabileceğini, konuların yüzeysel olarak geçiştirilmemesini, derslerde kullanılan dokümanların kavram yanılgılarını içerebileceğini, konuşma dili ile bilimsel dilin farklı olmasının sıkıntı oluşturduğunu ve bilimsel olmayan inanışların olumsuz etkileri olduğunu bilmeleri gerekir. Fen bilimleri öğretmenlerinin sıralanan bu hususları dikkate alarak daha duyarlı davranmaları ve tedbirler almaları kavram yanılgılarının oluşma olasılığını azaltabilir. Kavram yanılgılarının giderilmesi çok zor ve uzun zaman gerektiren bir süreçtir. O nedenle kavram yanılgılarının meydana gelmelerini önlemek için gerekli tedbirleri almak ve uygulamak tamamen giderilmelerini sağlamaktan daha kolaydır.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to discuss the factors that cause misconceptions in science. The study is a document review. In the study, the documents of the studies carried out and published about the misconceptions were examined according to the descriptive analysis approach. Science teachers should know that students can have preliminary ideas on every subject, that the topics should not be overlooked, that the documents used in the lessons may contain misconceptions, that the difference between the spoken language and the scientific language causes problems, and those non-scientific beliefs have negative effects. Considering these issues listed, science teachers' acting more sensitively and taking precautions can reduce the possibility of misconceptions. Elimination of misconceptions is a very difficult and time-consuming process. Therefore, it is easier to take and implement the necessary measures to prevent misconceptions from occurring, than to ensure that they are completely eliminated.
