Abstract
Eğitimde ceza unsurunun sanatlar arası örneğini incelediğimiz bu çalışmada fiziksel ceza türlerinden “falaka” konusu ele alınmıştır. Falaka, eskiden mekteplerde talebenin cezalandırılması için kullanılan işkence aleti olarak tanımlanır. Malik Aksel’in “Falaka” resmi ve Ömer Seyfettin’in “Falaka” isimli hikâyesi sanatlar arası bir payda olarak görülmüştür. Çalışmamızın omurgasını oluşturan bu ortak paydada bir ceza türü olan Falaka incelenmiştir. Ayrıca sanatçıların yerel konulara neden eğildikleri ve bu eğilime yönlendiren etkenler irdelenmiştir. Gerek ele alınan sanatçılar gerekse “Falaka” eserleri yeni bir değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmuştur. Sanatçıların yerel konulara yaklaşımlarında gözlenen bireysel farklılıklar ve üslup özellikleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Aynı tema üzerine farklı disiplinlerde üretilen yapıtlar karşılaştırılmış ve elde edilen verilerle bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Çalışmamızın konusu, eğitimde ceza ve cezalandırma gibi eylemler için kullanılan “falaka” kavramına tepki oluşturmak adına farklı disiplinlerdeki sanat alanlarına nasıl yansıdığını incelemektir. Resim ve edebiyat alanında yapılan literatür taramasına dayanan bu araştırma, eser ve metin inceleme tekniğinin kullanıldığı nitel bir çalışmadır. Resim ve edebiyat gibi birbirinden farklı iki sanat dalının ortak bir temayı hangi bakış açıları ile ele aldıklarının incelenmesi, disiplinler arası çalışmalara ilham vermesi ve farklı bir bakış açısı sunması bakımından literatüre katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmüştür.

Abstract
In this study, where we examine the inter-art example of the punishment element in education, the subject of "falaka", one of the types of physical punishment, is discussed. Falaka is defined as an instrument of torture used in the past to punish students in schools. Malik Aksel's painting "Falaka" and Ömer Seyfettin's story "Falaka" were seen as a denominator between the arts. Falaka, which is a type of punishment, has been examined in this common denominator, which forms the backbone of our study. In addition, the reasons why the artists focus on local issues and the factors that lead to this tendency are examined. Both the artists and the works of "Falaka" were subjected to a new evaluation. It has been tried to determine the individual differences and stylistic features observed in the approaches of the artists to local issues. The artworks produced in different disciplines on the same theme were compared and an evaluation was made with the data obtained. The subject of our study is to examine how it is reflected in the fields of art in different disciplines in order to react to the concept of "falaka" used for actions such as punishment and punishment in education. This research, which is based on the literature review in the field of painting and literature, is a qualitative study in which the work and text analysis technique is used. It is thought that it will contribute to the literature in terms of examining the perspectives of two different branches of art such as painting and literature, in which they deal with a common theme, inspiring interdisciplinary studies and presenting a different perspective.
