Abstract
Bu araştırma, öğretmen adaylarının Fransız Kültürü kavramına ilişkin geliştirdikleri metaforları belirlemek amacını taşımaktadır. Nitel çalışma modeliyle yapılandırılan çalışmada olgubilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 38 öğretmen adayı oluşturmuş olup, öğretmen adaylarının Fransız Kültürüyle ilgili metaforları yarı yapılandırılmış bir formla belirlenmiştir. Öğretmen adayları Fransız Kültürü kavramıyla ilgili toplam 8 metafor belirtmişlerdir. Öğretmen adaylarının en fazla belirttikleri metaforların gastronomi, Fransızca, moda, zarafet, kibarlık, peynir, özgürlük, bağımsızlık, Montaigne, Rousseau, Voltaire, sanat, kibarlık, milliyetçilik, Eiffel Kulesi, Fransız mutfağı, sosyal, sanatsal, toplumsal içerikler, deyim ve atasözleri, Paris, croissant, yemekler, edebiyat tarihi, gelenek, görenek, adet, yaşam tarzları, Fransız İhtilali, özgürlükler ülkesi, medeniyet, sömürgecilik, şarap, baget ekmek, renkli makaronlar vb. şeklinde sıralandığı saptanmıştır. Bu metaforlar gerek Fransa gerekse Fransızlara ait kimi düşünce, yargı ve/veya önyargıları ifade etmektedir. Bu metaforların analizleri farklı kategorilerde toplanmıştır. Bu kategoriler en fazla metafor kapsamaları bakımından “toplum, sanat, gastronomi, turizm, tarih, moda” olarak sıralanmaktadır. Öğretmen adaylarının oluşturdukları metaforlar dikkate alındığında, Fransız Kültürü kavramının birden fazla ve birbirinden farklı metaforla anlamlandırıldığı ve açıklandığı saptanmıştır.

Abstract
This research aims to determine the metaphors developed by pre-service teachers regarding the concept of French Culture. The phenomenology design was used in the study, which was structured with a qualitative study model. The study group of the research consisted of 38 pre-service teachers, and their metaphors about French Culture were determined with a semi-structured form. Pre-service teachers stated a total of 8 metaphors related to the concept of French Culture. The metaphors stated by the pre-service teachers were determined as follows; gastronomy, French, fashion, elegance, politeness, cheese, freedom, independence, Montaigne, Rousseau, Voltaire, art, politeness, nationalism, Eiffel Tower, French cuisine, social, artistic, societal contents, idioms and proverbs, Paris, croissant, food, literary history, tradition, customs, customs, lifestyles, French Revolution, country of bread, colonialism, etc. These metaphors express some thoughts, judgments and/or prejudices belonging to both France and the French. The analyzes of these metaphors were collected in different categories. These categories are listed as society, art, gastronomy, tourism, history, fashion in terms of their metaphor coverage. Considering the metaphors created by the pre-service teachers, it was determined that the concept of French Culture was interpreted and explained with more than one and different metaphors.
