Abstract
Bu araştırma Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Görsel İletişim Tasarım bölümünde verilen geleneksel çukur baskı resim tekniklerine alternatif olarak düşünülebilecek teknik çalışmaları içermektedir. Görsel İletişim Tasarım bölümü özgün baskı resim derslerindeki uygulamalar, fakültelerin sahip oldukları Özgün Baskı Resim atölyelerinin donanımları ve şartları elverdiğince yürütülmektedir. Çalışma Özgün Baskı atölyelerinin elverdiği ölçüde yapılabilecek farklı çukur baskı resim yöntemlerinin değerlendirilmesini ve bu yöntemleri ortaya çıkarabilecek materyallerin ele alınmasını sağlamaktadır. Ortaya çıkan ve geliştirilen farklı çukur baskı yöntemleri, Görsel İletişim Tasarım bölümündeki öğrencilerinin çalışmalarında uygulanmaktadır. Bölüm öğrencileri, birer tasarımcı adayıdır. Bundan dolayı farklı baskı yöntemlerinin uygulanma amacının üretimde kullanılmak üzere farklı tasarımlar ortaya çıkarmak olduğu söylenebilir. Çalışmada çukur baskı tekniği ile ortaya konulan çalışmalar neticesinde kalın asetat, cd ve alüminyum folyo gibi materyallerle denemeler yapılmış ve bu materyallerden çukur baskı tekniğinin gerektirdiği ölçülerde olumlu neticelere ulaşılmıştır. Söz konusu materyaller geleneksel çukur baskı resim (Gravür) tekniği ve materyal açısından asetat baskıda farklılık vardır. Bu araştırmada materyaller arasındaki farklar gösterilerek materyal ve tekniklerle geleneksel alçak baskı resim tekniklerinin farkı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Farklı materyallerin sağlık, güvenlik ve maliyet bakımından önemli avantajları olduğu görülmüş olup etki ve tekniğin gravür baskıya iyi bir alternatif olduğu görülmüştür.

Abstract
This research includes technical studies that can be considered as an alternative to traditional intaglio printmaking techniques taught in the Visual Communication Design department of the Faculty of Fine Arts. The practices in the printmaking courses of the Visual Communication Design department are carried out as much as the equipment and conditions of the Original Printmaking workshops of the faculties allow. The study provides the evaluation of different methods of intaglio printmaking that can be done as much as the Original Printmaking workshops allow and the materials that can reveal these methods. The different intaglio printmaking methods that emerge and are developed are applied in the works of students in the Visual Communication Design department. Students of the department are designer candidates. Therefore, it can be said that the purpose of applying different printing methods is to create different designs to be used in production. As a result of the studies carried out with the intaglio printing technique in the study, experiments were made with materials such as thick acetate, cd and aluminum foil and positive results were obtained from these materials to the extent required by the intaglio printing technique. These materials differ in terms of traditional intaglio painting (Gravure) technique and material. In this research, the differences between the materials are shown and the difference between the materials and techniques and traditional intaglio techniques are tried to be revealed. It has been seen that different materials have significant advantages in terms of health, safety, and cost, and it has been seen that it is no less than traditional printing in terms of effect and art.
