Ord. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Fuat Köprülü: Bir Tarih ve Edebiyat Üstadının TBMM’de Gerçekleştirdiği Faaliyetler

Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı Osmanlı Devleti’nden Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’ne geçiş sürecinde Türk tarih ve edebiyat anlayışının şekillenmesinde önemli katkıları olan Ord. Prof. Dr. Fuat Köprülü’nün milletvekili olarak TBMM’deki faaliyetlerini incelemektir. Bu amaçla 5., 7., 8., 9. ve 10. Dönem TBMM’de yer alan Fuat Köprülü’nün mensubu olduğu siyasi partiler, üye olduğu meclis komisyonları, hükümetlerde üstlendiği bakanlıklar, TBMM Genel Kurulu’nda yaptığı konuşma ve önergeleri araştırılmıştır. Bu araştırma genel tarama modeline uygun olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırma verileri doküman inceleme tekniği ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada ilk olarak Fuat Köprülü’nün hayatına kısaca yer verilmiştir. Bu kısımda eğitim hayatı, mesleki hayatı, Türk Tarihi ve Edebiyatı alanlarındaki etki ve katkılarına değinilmiştir. Ardından siyasi faaliyetleri ele alınmıştır. Araştırmamızın esas konusunu oluşturan TBMM’deki faaliyetler için ana kaynaklarımız TBMM Zabıt Cerideleri, TBMM albümleri ve Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi Vakfı tarafından yayınlanan Türk Parlamento Tarihi kitapları oluşturmaktadır. Ayrıca konu ile ilgili diğer telif eserlere de başvurulmuştur. Araştırmamızda Fuat Köprülü’nün üye olduğu komisyon ve hükümetlerdeki görevleri ve görev süreleri dönemlerine göre tablolar halinde verilmiştir. Genel Kurul’daki faaliyetleri ise yine dönemlerine göre tablolar kullanılarak listelenmiştir. Önemli konulardaki konuşmaları ise ayrıca metin halinde ayrıntılı bir şekilde yer almaktadır. Araştırmamızın sonucunda Fuat Köprülü’nün tarih ve edebiyat çalışmalarının yanında Türk siyasi hayatında da önemli tesirleri olan bir kişilik olarak karşımıza çıktığı görülmüştür.

Abstract
This study aimed to examine the activities of Ord. Prof. Dr. Fuat Köprülü, who made significant contributions to the shaping of the understanding of Turkish history and literatüre during the transition from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey, as a member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. To achieve this, the research investigated the political parties to which Fuat Köprülü belonged, the parliamentary commissions he served on, the ministries he held during various government periods, and the speeches and proposals he presented in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey during the 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th terms of the Turkish Grand National Assembly were investigated. This study was conducted using a general survey model. The study data were obtained through the document analysis technique. In the study, the life of Fuat Köprülü was briefly included. In this section, his influence and contributions in the fields of education life, professional life, and Turkish History and Literature are mentioned. Then, his political activities were discussed. For Fuat Köprülü's activities in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, which is the main focus of the study, the main sources of the study are the Minutes of the Grand National Assembly, the Grand National Assembly albums, and various books on the History of Turkish Parliament. In addition, copyrighted works on the subject were also consulted. The study presents Fuat Köprülü's duties and terms of office in the commissions and governments of which he was a member in Tables, organized by period. His activities in the General Assembly are also listed by period using Tables. His speeches on significant topics are also given in detail in the text. The findings reveal that Ord. Prof. Dr. Fuat Köprülü was not only a person who impacted Turkish society in the fields of literature and history. In addition to the fields of history and literature, he also had a significant impact on Turkish political life.
