Abstract
Bu çalışma; A Ay (Yön. Reha Erdem, 1988) ve Bal (Yön. Semih Kaplanoğlu, 2010) filmlerini ele alarak çocuğun ölümü ne şekilde algıladığı ve ölüm kavramını nasıl anlamlandırdığını açıklamayı amaçlamaktadır. Filmler, göstergebilimsel metodoloji ve söylembilim yöntemi kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak; araştırmanın sınırlılığı kapsamında, her iki filmde de ölüm kavramının, çocuk tarafından gitmiş olma olarak algılandığını söylemek mümkündür.

Abstract
This research; A Ay (Direction, Reha Erdem, 1988) and Bal (Direction, Semih Kaplanoğlu, 2010) aims to explain how the child perceives death and how he or she interprets the concept of death. The films were analyzed using the semantic methodology and discourse method. As a result, it can be said that, in both of the films the concept of death is perceived as being gone by the child.
