KATOLİK KİLİSESİ RESMÎ AYİN KİTABI ROMAN MİSSAL İÇİNDEKİ İŞARETLER, SEMBOLLER VE GÖRSELLERİN ANALİZİ

Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı günümüzde Katolik Kiliselerinde her hafta resmi ayin kitabı olarak kullanılan Roman Missal içerisinde yer alan işaretleri, sembolleri ve görselleri fenomenolojik olarak analiz etmek ve bu sembollerin İsa Mesih’in hayatıyla ve Kutsal Kitapta anlatılan olaylarla bağını kurmaktır. İkonların Katolik Kilisesindeki yadsınamaz yeri tarih boyu tartışılan bir konu olmuştur. Katolik Kiliselerinin içini süsleyen ikonlar gibi ibadet kitaplarını süsleyen görsel öğeler de Kilise tarafından günümüze değin kullanılmaktadır. Bunun son örneklerinden birisi resmi ibadet kitaplarında kullanılan işaret, sembol ve görsellerdir. Bu minvalde çalışmamızda kiliselerde haftalık ibadetlerde kullanılan Roman Missal isimli ayin kitabı temel alınarak bu kitaptaki sembolizm sanat, estetik ve dinler tarihi açılarından incelenecektir. Böylece Katolik Kilisesince dinî hayatın her alanında kullanılan görsel sanatların ibadet kitaplarına yansıyış biçimleri değerlendirilecektir.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze the signs, symbols and illustrations in the Roman Missal, which is used as an official liturgical book in the Catholic Churches every week, and to relate these symbols to the life of Jesus Christ and the events described in the Bible. The undeniable place of the icons in the Catholic Church has been a subject that has been debated throughout history. The visual elements that adorn the books of worship, such as the icons that decorate the interior of the Catholic Church, are also used by the Church until today. One of the last example of this is the signs, symbols and illustrations used in official worship books. This study is based on the Roman Missal, the official ritual book which is used in churches in weekly worship, and symbolism of this book will be examined in terms of art, aesthetics and the history of religions. In this way, the way the Catholic Church reflects the visual arts used in all areas of religious life to the books of worship will be evaluated.
