Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the nutritional habits of athlete students during the corona virus epidemic. The questionnaires filled in by a total of 456 students studying in different grades in faculties of Sport Sciences were evaluated. Independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance and LSD tests were used in statistical processes. Pre-epidemic nutritional habits were not statistically different according to gender (p>0.05). Nutritional status during the epidemic was significantly different according to gender (p<0.05). According to the sports branch performed in this study, both the situation before the epidemic and the eating habits scores during the epidemic differed (p<0.05 and p<0.001). It was concluded that during the coronavirus epidemic, the nutritional habits of sports students changed according to gender. It is recommended to investigate different factors that can positively affect the nutritional habits of university students receiving sports education.
