Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Fransızca anlamı “sonsuzluğa düşüş” olan ve dilimize “erken anlatı” olarak çevrilen üstkurmaca tekniği “mise en abyme”in Orhan Pamuk’un “Kara Kitap” adlı romanındaki kullanımı incelenecektir. Mise en abyme, Balzac romanına karşı çıkarak postmodern romanın temellerini atan Yeni Romancıların, Andre Gide’in romanlarından etkilenerek kullandığı bir üstkurmaca tekniğidir. Andre Gide, bu tekniği oluştururken armalar bilimi “heraldik”ten etkilenmiştir. Bir armanın içinde aynı armanın yer alması, tekniğin ilham kaynağı olmuştur. Bu şekilde, iç kısımdaki armanın içinde de, daha içerdeki armanın içinde de yine aynı arma yer alacak ve bakan kişilerde armanın sonsuza kadar kendi içinde yer aldığı hissi uyandırılacaktır. Romanda, bir üstkurmaca tekniği olarak “mise en abyme”in kullanım şekli ise şöyledir: Romanın ana konusu, romanın çeşitli yerlerinde küçük hikâyeler şeklinde tekrar eder. Okur, okumakta olduğu romanın ana konusunun oldukça benzerinin küçük bir hikâye halinde yine aynı romanın içinde yer aldığını gördüğü zaman bir kafa karışıklığı yaşayacak; küçük hikâyede anlatılan olayın ana konuya ne kadar benzediğini, bu hikâyenin neden anlatıldığını anlamaya çalışacak ve metne yoğunlaşacaktır. Yazar da, belki, ana hikâyeye oldukça benzeyen küçük hikâyede okurlara sahte ipuçları vererek onlara sürpriz bir son hazırlayacaktır.

Abstract
In this study, the usage of "mise en abyme", a technique of metafiction, which means "falling into eternity" in French and translated as early narration, in Orhan Pamuk's novel named "Black Book" is going to be analysed. Mise en abyme is a metafictional technique, New Novalists who lay the foundation of post modern novel by rising against the novel of Balzac, use by being influenced with Andre Gide. Andre Gide was influenced with the science of arms, heraldic in the process of creation of this technique. The technique of one arms is placed in another arms is the inspiration point of the technique. Thus same arms will be both in the same arms in the interior part and the interior beyond and in impressin of that arms is placed inside of itself evermore will be aroused on the individuals looking.The usage of "mise an abyme" as a technique of metafiction is as such: The main plot of the novel is repeated as short little stories in several parts of the novel. The reader is going to experience a confusion by the time he sees that quite similar of the main them of the novel he has been reading is takes part in tha same novel again as in a form of little story, then he is going to try to understand how the scenes has been told is very much alike to the main theme and why this story has been told and he is going to concentrate on the text. And maybe the author will give readers counterfeit clues in the little stories similar to the main story and prepare them a surprise ending.
